Ratings and reviews

Big FanMORGAINEWe'd been looking for a ceiling fan with a light that wasn't too bulky or dated looking and found this great piece. Fairly easy to set-up and has kept our bedroom cool as a cucumber. I was surprised by how dramatic the light is, but I love it. Really happy with this purchase.5
Awesome ceiling fanAprilN78I bought this ceiling fan based on reviews - and was happy I did- the only thing was my ceiling was on an angle - but easy fix Lowe’s has a mount that easily worked for $12 and the fan is so so so awesome ! Keeps me cool on the hottest of days5
ImpressedKayla GPurchased for our daughters nursery. The fan is great. Lots of air movement. Will be purchasing another for our sons room. We were concerned it wouldn’t be bright enough because it only had one light but it’s great! We have a smaller table lamp and a salt lamp for more of a softer light at night.5
Perfect fanbigpit78I bought it few months ago and I really happy with it.5
Great fan, not so great lighting!Jorjia BWe really love how silent the fan is, and how effective, and the overall look of the fan is great...but the actual light casts a very harsh, cold, and blinding glare, and hurts the eyes. Given its high overhead position, it should have either a dimming option or a more diffused, softer light (perhaps some sort of filter could be added?). If it were not for the unpleasant lighting, this would easily have merited 4 stars. Too bad.2
Pleased with purchaseJlking3We bought this a few weeks ago. Installation was straightforward. The fan provides sufficient air circulation and looks great with Malm furniture in teen’s bedroom. Very happy with purchase and price of fan.5
A good fan that could be made betterbigwolfeThis is a good fan and is excellent at the price point. Installation was straight forward if you have ever installed a ceiling light, but you will need two people to instal the fan. It is rather quiet and very powerful. In a bedroom I have kept this on the slowest setting, and I'm sure in a larger space the fastest setting would easily provide good circulation. I like that the light bulb is included (not typical of other IKEA lighting products), and is relatively inexpensive to replace (as long as they are still making the bulb by the time the LED wears out!), The light is very bright to boot. I would have preferred if the switch to reverse the direction was more accessible and not hidden under the shade, but the dual strings do provide a clean aesthetic. The biggest issue with the fan is the foil wrapped hardboard for the blades. One got a gouge upon installation, and it would appear another got one just from use (something likely struck it). If IKEA wants to make this fan nearly unbeatable in the market, it needs to improve the material used for the blade to something more durable. I imagine the first thing to go on this will be the blades, which leads me to wonder if they can somehow be replaced. I also wonder if the material was chosen for their low weight, providing less resistance for the motor. Overall, this is a good product and I would reccomend it if someone is looking for a better ceiling fan but does not have the money to purchase one at a higher price point.4
