I love the sofa itGeorgieI love the sofa it is my second one , I've been waiting for months due to covid stocking issues to order a beige cover and a chair to match. I was very disappointed soon after I received this to be advised the you have discontinued the product.5
Best purchase!!!!Katie M.I have had this sofa for 5 years. There is zero pilling and minimal sag. I am the only person who has used it for the majority of the time I have own it, however it has been used nearly every day. Being able to remove the covers and throw them in the washer is a game changer, as is being able to reverse the cushions to prevent more sag. I have not had any issues with the legs (as other reviews have stated) and assembling the couch alone was also pretty easy...I find it a little bit heavy and awkward to flip over once the legs have been installed...but that's it. I truly love this couch SO much! I find it so comfortable that I often fall asleep on it. If Ikea had a longer version (85"+) I would be purchasing it today! It is also long enough to seat 3 people comfortably, 4 if you squeeze in.5
Lots of seat spaceMariaEnjoying this sofa. Lots of seating area which requires a pillow or two so your back is supported. So far it is wearing well. Stylish piece and I love how the fabric is machine washable.5
Love this sofa!brooke9594When I saw this sofa online I immeditally fell in love. My husband and I purchased it for our living room. I not only think is beautiful but it is also incredibley comfortable. It is really deep and you sink right in when you sit on it. I also really like that u can remove the cover to wash. My husband likes to eat messy snacks while watching tv and I have a cat and I dog so being able to clean the cushions covers was a must for me. Would highly reccomend this couch to anyone!5
Looks great, but the legs wobbleHermoninnyOther reviewers have said it before, but here's another one: after a year or so, the legs start to wobble. The cushions have also started to sag despite minimal use. Wouldn't buy this for more than an occasional spot, and even then, for looks only.2
Check the leg holes before purchasing.AnonymousI purchased a sofa and two chairs due to how nice and deep this set sat. Shortly after, the legs broke off one chair. After inspecting, I noticed they were missing some kind of metal mechanism in the screw-in part, so I returned it and got a prompt replacement. However now the sofa legs are loosening up. I just checked, and they are missing the metal part too! If you get the set, I suggest to open the box and ensure the legs screw into a metal part, not just wood. If just wood, they will not hold up. Overall, I'm unhappy with the set but am hopeful Ikea will allow me to replace it with a different style. I think my set was faulty.1
STOCKSUNDAnonymousI love my STOCKSUND dark grey couch... but it's more blue then grey....5
Versatile and TimelessruthieI bought two of the Stocksund sofa's over a year ago and love their casual elegance. Sensible, washable covers are the only way to go in our household with teenagers, pets and even parents lazy movie nights with (sometimes) messy snacks. For special occasions, I simple freshen up in the washing machine and hang to dry overnight. Fits great even after washing. Fresh! Occasionally, I reverse the backrest cushions to firm up the natural relaxation from everyday use.5
STOCKSUND Sofa, Nolhaga gray-beige/black/wood

Our take on cotton

We use cotton in many of our products, from sofas and cushions to bed linen and mattresses. It is a soft, durable and renewable fibre that breathes and is good at absorbing moisture. All these great qualities make cotton one of our most important materials, but it isn’t without its challenges, much having to do with conventional farming methods that negatively impact the environment and poor working conditions for farmers. With our size and production volumes, we want to drive change in the cotton industry. By only using recycled cotton or cotton from more sustainable sources, working with partnerships and initiatives on the ground and prioritising compliance, we believe that we can make a positive impact in the world of cotton.

Working together to drive change

Each year, IKEA uses around 0.5 percent of all cotton grown around the world. This may not seem like a lot, but the number is big enough to drive change in the industry. For many years, we have been working with partners and stakeholders globally to transform conventional large-scale cotton farming and set social and environmental standards for cotton production. As an example, we helped set up the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) who runs the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Today, more than 110,000 farmers have adopted more sustainable farming practices within IKEA projects.

Ensuring compliance throughout the value chain

All IKEA products are produced in accordance with the IKEA IWAY Standard, our Supplier Code of Conduct. It sets out the minimum environmental and social standards expected from our suppliers, including compliance with local laws. We do not accept any form of forced labour, child labour or treatments in breach of our supply chain requirements. Our cotton teams across the globe ensure that all cotton used in IKEA products meets the demands of compliance in our supply chain. By having teams on the ground in areas where it has previously been challenging to work responsibly, we can challenge the traditional ways of working and improve the industry. If we discover that we are acting in places where we cannot ensure our requirements are being met, we follow-up on the ground and drive change.

What is cotton?

Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibres. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilizers and water.
