Declining quality of IkeaSharifulHad started using Ikea products since we lived in Norway back in 2013. Still using products that we brought here in CA back in 2018.
This bed was a struggle to put together, more than we had faced with any Ikea products. The slats came crooked, but we still made it work. Now it is falling off completely, and based on online reviews it seems that this has become a trend.
Hope Ikea pays better attention to where it is sourcing its products.2
very nice bed frame, but…Miai have built an ikea bed frame before (although not wooden) and i believe this bed frame took longer, about 2-3 hours, to build. the instructions were fine up until installing the metal bracket (one of the last steps), which I had to watch a YouTube video for because the instructions were so vague — i built this part incorrectly, which caused the bracket and mattress to collapse, however it was caught by the rolling storage bins (separate Songesand add-on). the bracket, which seems to be supporting the entire mattress, is extremely flimsy and thin. the bed squeaks now, which is annoying, but i’m not sure if it’s because I built it improperly first, or if it’s because of the bed/parts themselves.4

Overall great bed. But there should be replacements parts.SherneekaI bought this bed in 2021 for my son. It was a bit complicated to assemble. However he accidentally crack the legs of the headboard while trying to move the bed, and there’s no replacement part for the cracked leg. Everything else is in tack, but that one leg. I wish they would sell certain parts separately, cause I won’t mind repurchasing the headboard only.4
