Ratings and reviews

GreatColleenSo far we love it. Firm but very comfortable.5
Loses function after 2 yearsaBanana12Similar to most other reviews, my mattress started really good but lost its memory foam functionality after 2.5 years and now it's a bit painful sleeping on it1
Bed only good for 2 yearsFrank4I bought this Bed back in 2016 and 2 years later notice it was sinking. If i role over to the other side i feel a hump. Me and my wife always in pain. Saving up for a new mattress now.2
Jasmeet KaurI bought this mattress a month ago and i like it very much. So comfortable. I have a weak back so my back is well rested on this mattress.5
Started great, then came the pain...CanuckPeteLoved the firmness ans support this mattress gave. Then after about 2 years... completely gone. Mattress caused me so much pain, saw a physio and got accupuncture and still didn’t resolve. Mattress lumps all over and I only have one spot where I can actually get some sleep on. Very uncomfortable and hard to get a good nights rest... wouldn’t expect it for the price i paid for the Full :/. Surprised as i’ve never had this problem with my other single mattress from ikea2
Love It!PhoenixTOI bought this mattress a few months ago after reading the reviews and going to the store to test it. I like firm mattresses but also wanted something that had washable outer layer (due to pets). Just has been mentioned by others, I found it too firm and a little odorous the first week or so. After that, it has been perfect. I have a giant breed dog and when he moves around, I barely feel it on my side of the bed. My back and hip are happy now too.5
Exactly what I needed.Connie07I bought this mattress when I moved, because I needed a smaller bed. The mattress is firm, so I no longer wake up with back pain, but it’s also soft enough that it molds to your form.5
Great at first but...AnniieI had bought this mattress 2 years ago and it has causing my partner and I back pain every morning. I’m not sure if it’s become too soft and isn’t providing the same support as it used to. Wish I had read the reviews beforehand before forking over the price for this mattress.2
Only good for two yearsDoug 1I agree with quite lot of people here. This was just fine for about two years and all the sudden I almost wake up everyday with huge pain on my neck and back. I have been going to massage and acupuncture. Also, I was going to change my mattress to spring in hoping that would solve the problem. Surprisingly, now I see quite some people went through exactly same problem as I am having. If the mattress is only good for two years out of 25 yrs warranty, and mostly if it is causing serious pain to its customers, it is surely not what IKEA is known for. And I am genuinely disappointed.2
Initially Good but now Health HazardtanvirhWe had this mattress for over a couple of years now. I can honestly say we loved it as we needed something firm with the right amount of softness from the memory foam. It has been a bit over 2 years now and its causing pain for both me and my wife and we wake up 3-4 time every day. This is causing aches on the hips and lower half of the body for both of us. I should have read the reviews before making the decision on spending so much on a foam mattress. We purchased it from IKEA as it had the 25 yr. Warranty, but I'm sure it that it won't be an easy process to claim it.1
Great mattress.AbbieStellaVery happy with this purchase. Very comfortable.5
I love this mattress!LesleyARWe’ve had this mattress for two months now and we’ve loved it from day 1. It’s so comfortable!!!! Perfectly firm, yet not so firm that I get sore hips when lying on my side like I’ve experienced before. My favourite ever purchase, I think.5
Great - for a couple of years, anyway.lhibouThis was my second Myrbacka. It was pretty great for your back at first and at the time seemed like a good value for the cash spent! Firm and supportive but not uncomfortable. Love(d) it! Unfortunately, each of them lasted only about 2 years before becoming unbearable to sleep on. Eventually it's like sleeping on a half deflated air mattress. Your body winds up kinked and sinking in where the foam has deteriorated, leaving you with a horrible sleep. I'm 6ft with a slender build, so I'd hazard a guess that it might have an even shorter lifespan with more sleep weight on it all the time. Love IKEA, but can't say I love the mattresses. :)2
Perfect mattressReglieWe started sleeping on our new mattress on October 13th and we have never slept better!!!!5
Very good mattressCindy0001I bought this mattress two months ago and so far i am happy with it. Very good quality.5
A bad choiceKHG2019I bought this mattress one and a half year ago. It has really gone bad, it has become very soft, very difficult to sleep at night, you wake up with sore muscles and body ache. There are now visible bumps on both sides of mattress where we sleep. You wake up 2-3 times at night because of the ache. I will never recommend this mattress. I really want to get it replaced under the warranty. This is making our lives miserable now.1
Myrbacka greatSuvahpGot this in double size 4 yrs ago. 200lb guy. Happy with this memory foam mattress, seems to be holding up. Quite flexible. Noticbley firmer in colder months, would not hesitate to buy again, cover is zippered it being all white was not the best choice of colors, best bed I ever used, feel well supported and restfull. Dont know why the sides have padding4
Don"t truss to the warrantiesDavid richmondit is very poor mattress which after 1 year you will see a lots of deformation on and some part of mattress got deep down . You will wakeup with sore muscles after evey morning. When i wanted to return it, after 1 year they said that because mattress is not clean (only small spots) they will not accept warranty for that !! It is so funny , How it is possible when you use it. Don't trust on that mattress and warranty, if you want keep it more than one year....1
Mattress that I like love so muchRicky0001The mattress has the right hard support for my back.5
Very poor durabilitytangleI bought this mattress a couple years ago. I am a fairly heavy guy and needed something firm with great support. When I first got this mattress it was very firm indeed, in fact to the point that I was very surprised memory foam could be. However, two years later this mattress is like sleeping on a marshmallow. I'm hitting bottom on the middle part and my back has gotten so painful at night and in the morning that I've resorted to laying some extra blankets across the mid section of the mattress for extra support. I am a side sleeper and this mattress is wreaking havoc on my thoracic spine. I also have experienced that peculiarly this material gets stiffer and firmer in cooler temperatures. In the winter timer when the temp hits below 18 in my room it is relatively firm (until I warm it up with my body heat). In the summer time the mattress turns to mush. I'm not sure why anyone would want to own a mattress that isn't consistent through a small temperature range. Unfortunately I am assuming the warranty won't cover this. I am now shopping for a new mattress, way too soon.1
