Sometimes the mattress has a noticeable smell when you open the packaging. The smell isn’t harmful or toxic and disappears over time. Airing and vacuuming the mattress helps to eliminate the smell faster.

All of our mattresses can be used immediately, but keep in mind that a packaged mattress only regains its full shape and comfort after approximately 72 hours. Your body also needs a couple of weeks to adapt to the new mattress.

My bad - need to return it.James A.SORE SHOULDERS FIR TWO MONTHS - people who shop exclusively online are setting themselves up for my mistake. Such a beautiful product and on sale at 1/3 off, what’s not to like? PAIN !!!! Big pain. Apparently AFTER I finally do my research, I’m a “side-sleeper” and the FIRM I purchased was a huge mistake. Imma have to actually go to IKEA Montreal in person to get this sorted. As one of the world’s most innovative company, IKEA has a ONE YEAR!! Return policy. Since I’m not a wimp, I’ve simply been enduring the pain HOPING my 250lbs of male weight would potentially “work-in” this mattress… doesn’t seem so after a few months. Love the company, love the product, love this mattress if it was softer! So the search county and you can your bottom dollar I’m going LISTEN to everything their mattress salespeople say during the visit..!!! Point? GO TRY IT OUT IN STORE!!1

SturdySHELBY E.Bought one of these queens about 6 years ago, great price. Real firm. It might have softened up a little but it’s still extremely supportive. Good for stomach sleeping. I let my mom use it when she stays over and I think she likes it more than I do. I still really like it. I just hate how chunky it is. It’s so thicc. Great that it doesn’t need a box spring but I have moved like 8 times since I got it and this thing is so heavy and awkward to move. There are loops on the side you can use to carry it but they’re on the long sides so they’re useless to help move it.4
Great mattressSherriGreat mattress5

Best Quality Ever 👌SenanBest Quality Ever 👌5
sides too softGERALDINEThe mattress is nice however the sides of it are far too flimsy for sitting on or even when you get into bed... You better be ready to get into the bed farther back because otherwise you could slip right off onto the floor.3

The mattress if way firmerPhilippeThe mattress if way firmer than in the store.1
very comfy bedG DyerThis has been a very comfortable mattress, best I've slept on in years. My biggest issue was the off-gassing. It took 2 months to reach the point of using it without irritation.4
Good, for about a year.jsc004In the beginning I thought the mattress was okay -- a little firm for me but good for my husband. A year later I noticed the sag. Two human sized divots where we spend most of the night. To be clear, we're not big people: I weigh about 135 lbs/ 65 kg; my husband about 155lbs / 77kg. Very disappointing.2
Asia8We went to IKEA to get a mattress because we didn't want to deal with salesmen and all the upsells. We chose the Hesstun because of it's higher price point (and hopefully quality) but it ended up being a terrible mattress. First, the IKEA delivery men didn't take the King mattress up the stairs, so keep that in mind. We hauled the floppy thing up ourselves. The moment you lie down on the mattress it feels like heaven, but I had back pain the first night. Over the next week, it got progressively worse to the point I couldn't walk upright. We got the medium firm, but the combination of the Eurotop and memory foam on top of the coils makes this a very soft mattress. There is no support. Happily, IKEA is taking it back, and we went to Sleep Country to get a replacement. After lying on the more expensive mattresses and looking at their construction, I understand quality and innovation. The lesson is, don't cheap out on a mattress–your quality of life really depends on it. Honestly, I am so disappointed in IKEA and this product.1
Weird LumpsNick321I bought this mattress about three years ago (the medium firm) and a few months after purchase I noticed the end started to flatten out. Now you can feel a sort of slope where your feet go and there is a protrusion at the end of the mattress where the displaced padding from the foot area now is. The mattress itself is quite comfy though as long as the lump thing doesn't happen anywhere else.3
Disappointed!covid onlineThis mattress was on sale at the store before the store closed for covid. I bought the mattress online but it was not on sale. When the store re-open, I went for a price adjustment but they refused to give me the credit because the sale was just over. Very disappointed.3
Unsure on this new mattress, dips in middleMumma4This king mattress has only been in use for a month but has a huge dip in the middle that is not only physically noticeable but obviously visually noticeable even with bedding on top. Otherwise fairly comfortable. Not sure if this is defective? I probably need to discuss with IKEA but my last call to customer service number was nearly a 3 hour hold to talk to someone who then accidentally hung up on me before resolving the issue.3
Great mattress!Sofie20We bought this a couple of months back and are really happy with it. Just the right amount of firmness and no more backache.5
