Product has changedMarina S.I am an avid IKEA customer and I love the Branas - have purchased many over the years. The new design I am not sure. The basket comes flat boxed. The basket has 4 sides stapled together that are flexible and open to shape the basket and what would be considered the bottom is separate and is inserted. There are two metal clips/brackets that are on two end sides of the basket and 4 metal clips on the bottom piece - 2 each on opposite sides. Once the bottom is inserted the 4 metal clips rest on the side of the basket- the 2 end metal brackets/clips swing to secure the ends. These metal clips have screws and I recommend tightening them once the bottom piece is in place. Do I like this new design no- it doesn’t seem as sturdy, I will be storing children’s toys in the basket so I am hoping the bottom doesn’t fall through. Is it worth the price sorry but no.3

What is rattan?

Rattan is a climbing plant belonging to the palm tree family. It grows as a vine on tree trunks, its fast-growing tendrils easily reaching 60, and sometimes more than 300, feet long. They can be harvested without harming the host trees and grow back quickly once harvested. We use this lightweight, flexible and durable material in products like armchairs, rocking chairs, side tables, outdoor furniture and for handmade baskets.
