Awkward install, but great looking lightAnonymous reviewerHad these before in last house. Ikea have changed the rose design, and it's gone from fiddly to awful. More time was spent trying to lock off the cord and tighten the cord clamp whilst getting thr rose flush to the ceiling, than actually building the thing. Customers, be aware, this ceiling rose installation is an utter pain . Lamp looks brilliant, which we already knew as had them before.

Lamp broken hingeAnonymous reviewerI bought 2 lamps . While building the smaller one obe of the little brackets snapped.. It is plastic.. I glued it only because I had built the larger one already and ikea is quite a distance away from me to return.. Lamps look nice up.. But quality isn't the best for the price.. 160 for both..
Beautiful light but terrible finish at ceilingAnonymous reviewerI bought this light to finish off my new dining room, it was a really stunning light and caught our eye while walking around ikea (not looking for a light). The downside is that the way the light attaches to the ceiling is terrible, it doesn’t seem as though there is a way to finish the white plastic cone flush to the ceiling and for it to stay there, other light fittings have 2 tiny screws but this fitting has nothing other than a tensioner screw on the flex and when you google how to fix this it’s apparent this has been a long standing issue for ikea lights such as this. The light looks complicated to put together - but it isn’t, it doesn’t come with the necessary hook to secure it to a ceiling (which is strange for a £100 light).

Great focal piece for the room.Anonymous reviewerEasy enough to assemble but two of the pieces overlap each other when opening and closing so always have to give it a nudge to get it to close. I don’t mind paying the price for it but a little disappointed it doesn’t work smoothly. Would take it back but the local store doesn’t have another one in stock so will just keep it and be careful when opening and closing it.

Cool Death Star light fittingAnonymous reviewerObviously a great looking light, which is fairly easy to assemble, although ... 1) The light fitting does not come with the hook fixing required to attach it to the ceiling so I had to go and buy one separately, while being very unsure of the exact type needed. 2) Pull cords were tied in a knot so tight, in a place that was at first seemingly impossible to access that I did consider returning the light and requesting a swap however I eventually managed to undo it after utilising a screwdriver, a knitting needle and a pair of tweezers all at once and some considerable time. 3) Don’t let well-meaning electricians touch brand new, all-white light or cords with freshly sootted fingers. My new light is now fifty shades of grey.
