What "sustainable" means?

At IKEA, we want to have a positive impact on people, society and the planet. For us, it’s about balancing economic growth and positive social impact with environmental protection and regeneration. To meet the challenges of unsustainable consumption, climate change and growing inequality, IKEA is taking ambitious steps towards a more sustainable future for the many people through collaboration with partners, co-workers and customers. Switch and save

Did you know that LED bulbs use less energy than traditional bulbs, reducing your electricity bill? That's why IKEA only sells LED. Plus, we have a range to match every style and need.

Give plastic a miss

Swap single-use plastic straws for metal or bamboo ones. For example, LUFTTÄT stainless steel drinking straws can be used over and over again - and they are easy to clean with the included brush.

A good mix for your shower

Just as in all IKEA taps and showers, there's a small aerator in VALLAMOSSE single-spray hand shower. This mixes in a bit of air with water, which reduces the water flow while still maintaining pressure.
