Click & Collect

With IKEA Click & Collect, you’re in control. Place an order online when it’s convenient and choose when and where to collect it, from your local IKEA store, external DPD or local pick-up point. You’ll still make a trip, but we’ll gather your items so that you have more time and energy for assembling instead.

Collect from your local IKEA store

Free for all orders*

Our click and collect service is available at all our IKEA stores across the UK except IKEA Hammersmith.

Collect from an external DPD pick-up point

Free for orders over £100, £2 for all other orders

Collection at an external DPD pick up point is only available for smaller size parcel orders.

Collect near you

Free for orders over £200, £10 for all other orders

If your postcode is within 45km of any of our Collect near you collection points, you will be presented with the option in the online checkout under 'Collection'.


How Click & Collect works 

  1. Put your desired items in your online shopping cart.
  2. Select your favourite or nearest IKEA store or pick-up point under “Collection”.
  3. Choose an available collection time. Complete your order.
  4. Live life while we gather your items. We’ll notify you via e-mail when we’re done with instructions on how to make your collection.
  5. Go to your chosen IKEA store or pick-up point during your time slot.
  6. Collect your order, load it into your vehicle and drive home.

Good-to-know basics 

  • Due to high demand, time slots may be limited. Available times are listed during online check-out.
  • If you can’t place an order at your desired IKEA store, try another location, remove an out-of-stock item from your cart or order later when stock is replenished.
  • Consider package dimensions and weights, so your order will fit in your vehicle. This information is on each product’s webpage.
  • Consider any additional packaging you may need to bring if you have ordered fragile and delicate items.
  • Decide in advance who will collect your order. You can only list an alternate collector while placing your order.
  • You may modify products in your order until our staff has finished gathering your order.
  • For the safety of our customers and co-workers, all collections are contactless. Bring a helping hand to load your goods.
  • Want an order update? If you have an order confirmation number, you can track your order.
  • You can always combine Click & Collect with a pop into the store for that pillow you want to try before buying.

Frequently asked questions

  • IKEA store and external DPD pick-up points

    You will have the option to select your preferred store or pick up point and next day collection slot*.

    Once your order has been prepared and is ready for collection, we will notify you via email. Please bring your order confirmation email and proof of ID in the form of a current photo driver's license, payment card or passport.

    Please remember to collect your order on your confirmed day. If you don't pick up your order within your collection slot, your order will be cancelled and a refund processed.

    If someone is collecting your order on your behalf, please make sure they have the original email confirmation and proof of ID in the form of a current photo driver's license, payment card or passport.

    For collection at an external DPD pick-up point please follow your order confirmation email instructions.

    *Order and collection points and IKEA Croydon only will operate with a choice of collection day.

    Collect near you

    During the checkout you will be able to select a date and collection window for your order. Orders are ideally available 2 days from your date of purchase. Orders can be placed up to 11pm for collection from 7am, 2 days ahead. For example, orders placed at 11pm on Monday can be collected from 7am Wednesday.

    Once your order is ready, you will receive a collection notification email from Shift, please endeavour to collect your order within your chosen time window.

  • If you have an order confirmation number, you can track your order, where you will also be able to manage or cancel your order.

  • IKEA store and external DPD pick-up points

    If you do not pick up your order on your selected day and collection slot, the order will be cancelled and a refund will be processed.

    Collect near you

    Your order will be held at the pick-up location for up to 24 hours past your chosen time slot, following this, the order will be returned to IKEA and a refund will be issued within 14 days to your original payment method.

    If you know in advance that you are no longer able to collect your order in the allocated window, we ask that you contact Shift via the number provided in the collection email. Shift can offer a delivery service for your order (this will be an additional fee), alternatively you can cancel your order via the order management tool or by contacting IKEA Customer Services .

  • IKEA store and external DPD pick-up points

    Please bring your order confirmation email and proof of ID in the form of a current photo driver's license, payment card or passport.

    Collect near you

    Within your booking confirmation you will have the full address details for the collect point which also includes collection instructions.

    You will be provided with a locker number and unique pin code by Shift, once you arrive at the collection point and locate your locker, enter the unique pin code and the locker will open, your order will be loaded onto a trolley which can be easily removed from the locker. There will be a representative on site to support with any questions.

  • The item may be unavailable for Click & Collect due to low stock levels, please check an alternative store or try again later. You can also get notified by SMS or e-mail when the product is back by signing up to back in stock notifications from the products details page.

  • In the unlikely event that you have a damaged or missing product – please inform an IKEA co-worker in-store or the representative on site at the pick-up point, any damaged products can be left with the representative. We will then be in touch to arrange a replacement via your preferred method.

  • There are no number, weight or size restrictions on Click & Collect orders at an IKEA store or Collect near you pick up points.

    For collection at an external DPD pick up point, only smaller size parcel orders will be accepted with a maximum size 60x60x60cm, maximum weight 20kg.

  • Our collect near you service is currently available for select post codes near our collection points in:

    • Twickenham
    • Kingston Upon Thames
    • Wandsworth
    • Acre Lane
    • Cheam

    If your postcode is within 45km of any collection point, in the online checkout, you will be presented with the possibility to book our ‘Collect Near You’ service along with our other service products such as ‘Delivery’ and ‘Click & Collect’.
