How to unstick the coverAnonymous reviewerThe battery cover sticks, as others note. To free it, work a sharp craft knife in the gap and draw it along, on all four sides. Perhaps this is the reason the product has been EOL'd?
Battery Compartment Stuck Due to Excess Glue - My Experience and SolutionAnonymous reviewerBefore placing my order, I carefully researched this device and was surprised to see so many low ratings just because people couldn’t open the back battery compartment. And, as it turned out, I faced the same issue! I tried everything I could find - a screwdriver, a knife, a needle, and so on. I even requested a return, but decided to give it one last try - this time using a thin, rigid piece of plastic from the packaging of another device.
It turned out that the problem was caused by an excessive amount of glue under the rubber sealing strip that protects the device from moisture. Because of that, the cover sticks very tightly and won’t open at first. However, after the initial opening, once the extra glue loosens, the compartment can be opened easily without any further issues.

But it works with hue hub if you pair in the following order
a. Reset everything you bought from IKEA
b. Pair the strybar remote to Hue bridge (it will not show up in hue app) via hueessentials touchlink
c. Pair each Tradfri light to dimmer
Now you can find Tradfri bulbs and other devices in hue app for adding as you do with hue bulbs
