Desk is good color is badAnonymous reviewerDesk is great, very satisfied. Bought for my wife. The lowest level (64.5cm) is just about right for her. My only complaint is with the color. The top is only available in dark brown and there is no other option. It is too dark! I don't want a dark desk in my already dark office. If there was a lighter color, I'd buy another one for myself. PLEASE IKEA, PROVIDE A DESK TOP IN A LIGHTER COLOR.1

One person can reasonably assemble if you assemble the metalwork first as per instructions, locate in your room, and fit the desk top last. It is a solid working desk. An observation though - I wouldn't say the metalwork is beige as in Ikea photos. More Mushroom. Not a great problem for me luckily. I wish the cable hanger net drillings were on front and back of underside - Because I prefer the grain pattern that should sit towards the back according to underside drillings, so have not installed cable hanger net. On the plus, I have a very pretty grain pattern to look at. Not a great problem either. I love this desk. If you want a solid, and attractive desk - You will be happy.5

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
