Designer thoughts
"It was an exciting challenge to create the world's cheapest table lamp - LAMPAN. We started by analysing all stages in the process: logistics, packaging, assembly, components, tools and materials. As a consequence of this, we decided to get rid of the box and instead adapt the size of the foot to correspond with the height and width of the lampshade. The whole lamp could then be packed in a transparent plastic bag with handle, and customers could just pick the lamps from the pallet".
