The sturdy solid pine frame has natural variations in grain, colour and texture, giving every piece a unique look. And it has been stained and lacquered making it more durable and easy to care for.

You can sit up comfortably in bed thanks to the high headboard – just prop some pillows behind your back and you will have a comfortable place to read or watch TV.

I guess I didn’t read the full description when I ordered the frame online so hadn’t realised it doesn’t come with a base for a mattress to go on. I had to make a return journey to the store. I don’t see why it doesn’t come with the basic (but completely adequate) slatted frame with an option to upgrade if you want. I was cross with the online shopping experience (and myself) at the time but the bed itself is excellent and I am very pleased with it now.5

Decent Bed but Noisy When MovingAnonymous reviewerI'm honestly a bit unsure how to rate this bed. It looks fine and is generally okay for use, but it keeps making creaking or squeaking noises whenever I move or turn over in bed. It’s quite noticeable and a bit annoying, especially at night. I’m not sure if the issue is with the bed frame itself — maybe the bottom support bars — or if it has something to do with how it was assembled. It's possible the assembly wasn’t done properly, but I can’t say for sure. Overall, it works, but the noise is definitely a downside.3
