SÖDERHAMN seating series allows you to sit deeply, low and softly with the loose back cushions for extra support.

Light, airy design with high legs and slim lines, yet still a great comfort thanks to the elastic weave in the bottom and high resilience foam in the seat cushions.

The sofa's sections can be used freestanding or combined in different ways to get a size and shape that suits you and your home.

If you need a larger sofa, you can add a section or two to your existing combination.

You can create your own perfect combination with the planning tool. Assemble, take apart and put together again until it’s just right.

The high legs make it easy to clean the floor under the furniture.

This cover is made of Tonerud, a soft polyester fabric with a felt look and a two-toned melange effect.

The cover is easy to keep clean since it can be machine washed and is easy to take off and put on again.

The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

My worst Ikea purchaseAnonymous reviewerI bought this sofa based on good reviews. I made the mistake of not trying it out in the shop. We all have our ‘worst thing I ever bought from Ikea’ and this is definitely mine. This is an extremely uncomfortable sofa. The seat cushions are very thin and hard. Despite the fact they are zipped onto the sofa, they drift apart snd need constant readjustment. The sofa is also very low, which makes it difficult for people with reduced mobility to stand up from. My greatest issue, though is the poor quality of the sofa. When moving it very shortly after purchase, one of the cheap MDF sections where the leg goes in broke irreparably. I’ve had to prop it up on bricks. I would recommend giving this sofa a good trial in the shop before buying. In my opinion it’s a very poor option and not value for money.1
