Can be used both as a microwave and fan-forced air convection oven, and can even be combined for really quick cooking.

The fan-forced air convection spreads the heat quickly and evenly, so you can cook or bake several dishes at once without flavours spreading between them.

The combination of forced air and microwaves reduces both cooking time and energy consumption.

The defrost function indicates suggested power level and defrost time but can be reset manually according to your preference.

You can easily choose the best grill function to cook thin cuts of meat and vegetables or to brown gratins and steaks.

Top and bottom heating is ideal for cooking dishes with a crispy finish and for slow cooking of casseroles.

The bread/pizza baking function gives your food a more intense brown outside and a crispy bottom.

The preset cooking programs make it easier for you to choose the right settings for different recipes and foods.

Extra generous interior dimensions ensure you have plenty of room for the food you want to cook.

Oven door with child-safety lock improves safety in the kitchen.

Easy to install at a comfortable work height in a base cabinet or high cabinet.

The automatic safety lock keeps children from accidentally turning the oven on. The control panel cannot be used unless you open and close the door.

Reviews

Works, but annoying partsAnonymous reviewerThe unit works well for us, not had a problem with uneven food heating that others have said but we've had combi microwave and oven units before and this seems comparaible in that regard. However, two infuriating things about this combi.... the continious beeping when its finished that you cannot change and the touch controls only work about 60% of the time. There is no need for touch controls, stop adding them just for the sake of it- they're shit!.3
Faulty and difficult to fixAnonymous reviewerThis was supplied to us with a faulty magnetron over a month ago but it’s proving impossible to fix due to the third party way in which it was supplied (actually more like fourth party because Electrolux supply the product to ikea and use a separate engineering firm, Pacifica, to investigate faults). I’ve spent three weeks now chasing different companies trying to get a fix. Would not advise buying electricals through Ikea as a result, it’s more hassle than it’s worth. Looking forward to experiencing all the other problems reported with this device once I can actually use it.1
Rusted inside after 14 monthsAnonymous reviewerMade a claim on the 5 year warrenty only to be told by Elizabeth Barnett of customer serivce Ikea the following -I have discussed with our kitchen specialist and the. rust is due to not allowing the inside to dry correctly after use or cleaning. Any minor scratch on the interior can expose any underlying metal which creates conditions for rust Avoid the product.1
Great microwave, touch controls not easyAnonymous reviewerEasy to use, except for the touch controls. Often needs several attempts to find the exact spot to press to get a response. 4
Design faultAnonymous reviewerWe had this oven installed in August 2024, but by early March 2025 it had stopped working. The engineer called today and identified a design fault, namely that there are flimsy plastic tabs on the inside of the oven door, which if one of them breaks the oven stops functioning. Apparently the parts take several weeks to arrive, so we will probably not have the use of the oven for over two months, having spent several weeks investigating who to call, then waiting for the engineer to come. I definitely wouldn’t recommend the Forneby micro combi oven.2
Unexpectedly badAnonymous reviewerAs with others on here, assumed this would be a quality product given the cost and the fact it's from IKEA. Both the oven and the microwave stopped working and couldn't be repaired. The engineer told us we'd be contacted regarding preplacement - we weren't, but a third phone call to Electrolux has revealed that we might get a new one in about 6 weeks! Not what anyone would call customer service.2
Uneven cookingAnonymous reviewerI agree with previous reviews. Used it to Microwave a Jacket Potato. When I checked half was overcooked and the half almost raw. The other functions work well2
Very disappointingAnonymous reviewerWe bought this and had it installed on the basis of the description on the website. One thing the website doesn't say is that the microwave doesn't have a rotating turntable, so food cannot be heated evenly unless you intervene and stir or rotate the food manually every 30 seconds or so. This omission seems bizarre in an age where even a £70 no name oven from a supermarket comes with a turntable as standard. Frankly as a microwave this product is next to useless in the real world, though I'm pleased to say the other oven functions are acceptable. In our case, the oven failed completely after a couple of years, but we are having a repair scheduled under the guarantee. In a nutshell I don't think this is a quality product at all. It appears well built but the underlying software and electronics are third rate. Avoid.2
Terrible product Anonymous reviewerWorst microwave ever. Doesn't heat food evenly and takes ages 1
microwaveAnonymous reviewerheats unevenly - and it would be useful to have 400w setting as it jumps from 700 to 2002
