Great to pair with SonosVerified BuyerGreat to pair with Sonos beam5
Excellent Surround SpeakerVerified BuyerI have two Symfonisk speakers as surrounds for a Sonos Beam. Very easy to set up and they sound great! Highly recommended.5
Fab speaker once connection issues were sortedBonBonnieI had been looking at this speaker for a while and was torn between it and the more expensive Sonos. Chose this in the end as it was more cost effective (we want speakers in all rooms of the house eventually). This one was placed in the kitchen and had no problems with setting it up. It seemed to work ok but would drop out and lose signal. This became a more frequent occurrence and was very frustrating to say the least. Tried moving it to a different location but this made the problem worse. Tried everything we could think of to stop this from happening. We eventually bought a wi-fi booster socket and I’m happy to report the problem of it losing signal has completely disappeared! I would say that maybe the wi-fi receiver in the speaker may not be as powerful as the Sonos but as for sound quality it’s pretty good for its size. I’m now happy with my purchase and will be buying more.5
Not fit for purposeL0nd0nerConnected this to an existing Sonos configuration (1 beam and 2 Ones) and it barely ever works. It constantly says unable to connect to Sonos product and even more frustratingly disrupts the other Sonos products. I'm an audio engineer and have worked through every suggestion I can find online to get this working, but to no avail. The system works fine when this is unplugged. Wish I'd just purchased an additional One - this isn't worth the packaging.1
Good when it worksJosh97Awful product. Works one-in-ten times of trying. The rest of the time it just claims that it cannot connect. Tried all the support articles and it would appear that I’ve just got to accept that I’ve wasted money on a product that does not work.1
SpeakerKatt69Great sleek design the sound is so smooth and easy to install and use5
Amazing speakerContentedCatWhat can I say !! Bought two of these for my teenagers bedrooms and they both LOVE them. Look good as a wall shelf. Sound quality is fantastic and easy to set up and use with no fuss. I’m going to buy more, for my bedroom , my kitchen and lounge .. that’s how good they are!5
Great speakersBrooceAmazing value, great sound, look fantastic and they complement my other Sonos speakers, a great purchase.5
Outstanding sound qualityDazshawPerfect build quality and sound as good as if not better than our bose system which was 4 times the price, simple to set up. we did however think it came with the wall mount bracket but didnt need that anyway. Highly recommend this item.5
Brilliant Speaker - so simple and easy to useMightyMaggieMayHave been looking for a decent speaker and saw this instore, demo model was impressive so bought one. Installation and set up was relatively easy. So good to use, have been playing playlists from the sonos app, sound quality is brilliant, levels are powerful and was just what I was looking.5
Great speaker easy to set upMelly20Really good sound from this speaker and the tuning to the room software makes a great difference. Really nice product for not a lot of money and easy to set up and use with my other Sonos speakers5
Great speakerAlstondA fantastic product at a fantastic price. Sonos compatible, easy to set up and use.5
Excellent value for moneyScandiBobThis is the entry level speaker in the Sonos universe and you do get what you pay for in terms of sound quality. That is not to say it is bad. In fact it is actually better than I expected! Just so not expect these to stack up against more expensive Sonos speakers. Functionality is great, easily added to the Sonos app and controller and it is basically a Sonos Play 1. Prefer the shape of these though - love that aid can sit them in amongst books so they are barely noticeable. If you are looking at these, buy them - they are superb value for money.4
Amazing speakerLewis1988This is a great product I have tried out Bose, Sony and more but I must say this is far the best sound its discrete and so easy to setup very good sound and is such good value for money tempted to buy a couple more for the house5
Great speakerPenpoolI wanted s good speaker for playing music around the house. I looked at Sonos as I used too install them to some of our customers, but I must say, I am a bit tight on spending out on some kit. Then I spotted this. Great speaker. Not quit as good as the Sonos one, but 90% there in my mind. Easy app to work from and still able to play with the bass and equalizer. All in all. Yes I would recommend this speaker. Will be going back to our local store for another one.5
Quality sound, especially when in a stereo pairikeahackingWith wireless speakers, especially multi-room setups, the consumer often had to choose between 'cheap and junky' or playing through the nose for the better systems like Sonos. So when IKEA and Sonos teamed up for a new range of speakers for significantly less money I was interested. Spurred on by largely positive reviews, I purchased a pair of SYMFONISK bookshelf speakers. Set-up with my WIFI router was easy via the official Sonos app. I currently use Amazon Music as a streaming service and you can connect this via the app. I used use Aubible. Again, no problems. I decided to leave one SYMFONISK in the living room, and use the other more as a 'floating' device I could move around the house as and when. This works well. However, if you create a stereo pair with two SYMFONISK the sound suddenly gets surprisingly 'hifi' and big. In the past I've had semi-audiophile separates systems and while I can't pretend the SYMFONISK pair would match that kind of set-up it's very good sound. Certainly it can fill my small living room with a big, enjoyable sound. It's much closer to genuine hifi with great detail and a serious soundstage than those bluetooth 'boombox' type speaker you may have heard. I'm seriously impressed. There are no microphones on these speakers so, unlike the Sonos One Gen 2, digital assistant stuff is out without adding in other Amazon or Google devices. However, I used Siri on apple and you can control the Sonos app via an iPhone or iPad if you really want. In conclusion, if you're serious about creating a proper, good quality multi-room audio system in your home these are essentially 40% cheaper than Sonos's own speakers. So your money goes further. You can cover more of the house. I intend to buy at least one more to keep a stereo pair in the living room, perhaps the lamp version for a bedroom. While I do not own a Sonos One for direct comparison I have friends that do own that and other speakers from the Sonos range and, in isolation, there's nothing about these that sounds worse. They've clearly been designed to impress. Go for it.4
Excellent productMLg1Setup was easy and sound quality is good5
Fantastic speakersNo1 blind fitterI was going to put sonos speakers all through my house and then I saw these at ikea Nottingham last night, at the price I decided on two for my living room to start with, I must say I am very impressed with these, the sound is very crisp and clear with the just the right amount of bass, they are easy to set up with the sonos app, I will definitely recommend these, I think I will go back tonight for some more.5

Decorate your home with sound

You might think IKEA and Sonos are companies with completely different cultures, values and customers. But when we created SYMFONISK WiFi bookshelf speaker together, we realised we have a lot in common, for example a will to make people’s everyday better and simpler.

“We connected right away”, says Björn Block from IKEA, part of the team that went knocking on Sonos’ door. The shared values make the partnership easier, which isn’t to say it’s without challenges.

A creative mix

“There’s always a tension when you are two likeminded organisations, that still have different point of views regarding the final execution”, says Patrick Murray, Senior Director Global Business Development at Sonos. But, friction is also part of the process. “We challenge and stretch each other – and in the end, great things happen. Sometimes 1 plus 1 definitely equals 3”, says Patrick.

A booming result

SYMFONISK WiFi bookshelf speaker is one of the products from the collaboration. It can be mounted on the wall – or stand – horizontally and vertically, and works just as great tucked away or as a centrepiece in the room. And it’s as simple to use as the rest of the Sonos family. Through the development, Sonos has made sure that the sound quality lives up to their high standards. In many ways it’s a perfect match, solid home furnishing knowledge with deep sound expertise. The best of two worlds to make good sound available for many people.
