Great privacy screen, SolidVerified BuyerGreat privacy screen, is solid and sturdy. Can view out of canvas but others can not view you from distance. Let's enough light through to not be dark. Great wind brink in light wind /breeze. Excellant value. Canvas need 2 to stretch over wood as snug fit. Did need a rubber mammet at one point but only took 30 minutes to assemble5
Perfect garden screenSharon5660Got a gap in our conifer hedge put more conifers in put screen across to protect conifers also people can’t see in the garden brilliant thank you IKEA5
Difficult to AssembleTracey TThis is very difficult to assemble for one person... I’m usually a dab hand at Ikea products but this was fiddly and the Allen Key is poor. Your fingers will ache at the end ! It’s nice to look at but I’m disappointed in the quality of the mesh for privacy purposes. You can see through it both sides. If it’s privacy your after then think again before purchasing. Delivery however was spot on and didn’t have to wait too long in this current pandemic.3
More transparent than I expectedAlias 101This is good and with some fixing down it stays up against the wind. It is more transparent than I would like.3
PrivacyAnthawScreen is good for more privacy However took ages to assemble Live alone Needs 2people to assemble easily5
ScreenFrank ZappaHad to drive to Exeter to get this, as IKEA wanted £35 to deliver it. Product ok but would not be worth cost plus delivery. Assembly difficult with small Allen key.4
Privacy screen to hide the messy bits...Poynter PiratesThe screen hides our log store and cutting area from any visitors sitting at our patio table but doesn't cut the area off from the rest of the garden. It looks sturdy, very smart and the wood is in keeping with our garden. We have not pegged it in yet as the area is a work in progress and it did blow down a few times in strong winds at first. We will definitely peg it in when we are finished but not sure how long the plastic feet will last under the strain of any strong wind. We will see. For the price though, this is not a real negative. Other screens we looked at are a lot more flimsy and double the cost! As for assembly - what assembly? We took it out of the well-packaged box and simply unwrapped it!4
Perfect garden screenReddersThe screen is beautiful and sturdy. Bit tricky to build but only because we needed the panels to hinge a certain way. Looks stunning in the garden5
Perfect for shade and privacyRevittThe screen is very sturdy and substantial. It provides shade and privacy for two when sitting outdoors.5
Just what we were looking for!JABsWe bought 2 of these screens to put round our gazebo which houses our hot-tub for a bit of privacy and shelter from the windy weather and rain. Brilliant! Sturdy and secured to the gazebo posts by straps. The material allows you to see out but others not to see in. Brilliant value compared to pull out privacy blinds from other hardware stores and much stronger too. Really pleased and may purchase another 2 for the other 2 gazebo sides to make a completely enclosed space for the winter months.5
UselessCap413Whilst this looks beautiful and I bought this to complement the table and sun lounger I bought from the same range, as with most Ikea products it is not built to last, in this case, it only lasted one day. Although this screen comes with metal screws for screwing the bottom of the screen into grass, it really is not built to be a freestanding unit, and needs to be lashed to another fence or wall, which makes it a waste of money. As I say, this lasted a day in my garden with no wind. Today, a very slight breeze blew it over, snapping off the bracers on the bottom and in one case, the screws attaching the bracers just fell out! Now there is no way to stand it up which makes it a very expensive screen, considering the fact it needs to be put together as well. The bracers are plastic so they really need to be metal and larger than they already are. It’s shoddy workmanship and really needs to be looked at. A screen for placing next to a wall or railing? Fantastic!2
