Correction - does charge Macbook Air M1Anonymous reviewerMy previous review said it wouldn't charge my macbook air m1 13 inch laptop. I've now discovered that it does start charging if I leave it for two minutes after plugging in. This is very odd as the apple charger starts charging immediately. Maybe this one takes a long time to negotiate the charging voltage and rate? Anyway, it does work, hooray, and IKEA moderators, you can either publish this correction or delete my previous review. (Same issue with the two-port Sjoss, I bought both, and they both behave the same with my macbook air m1 laptop.)

Using the same cable, I’ve timed the charging of my iPad against a well known brand of the same wattage & there’s no loss in charging speed; cable specifications can affect the rate of power transfer. My cables insert easily & securely although when I tried to insert IKEA cables in the store, they were a bit stiff & gritty. It’s common for chargers to heat up, this one gets quite hot and hopefully won’t affect its lifespan. It’s quite big in length & combined with a cable coming out of the front, plenty of space needs to be available. One minor thing I don’t like is the grey technical / safety information plastered on one side of the body; I like devices to look clean & smart even if it’s only a charger.

As a charging plug this thing does it's job excellently, but I think it could be improved. Anonymous reviewerI bought this after already having purchased the 2 port version some time previously. I have a Google Pixel handset which to my memory can suck up power of 30w ish to my memory. This plug plus the enhanced cable (tried both types, it does make a difference!) and I'm good to go after 30 mins.
Improvements?
I'd like this to be more portable. For the prongs to maybe fold down so it could be stashed in a small bag without attaching itself to everything inside your bag.
I also think it would be great if it was sold with the enhanced cable. The cable seems to make a difference- at least to my phone recharging it does. I'd like the cable to be retractable if possible but not an option at the moment.
The look of the design- unfordable prongs aside isn't bad. It's straight white everywhere but the light green/blue tint where the USC port sits. Not an ugly design in my opinion.
It feels study and is reliable enough that I've just plugged in and left it. No over-heating, no non-charging.
