Product details

Have a seat and stay a while - the friendly, embracing curves and flexy material make this chair nice and comfy.

No tools are required to assemble the chair, you just click it together with a simple mechanism under the seat.

The wood fibre/plastic composite material gives the chair a textured, matte surface that is soft and inviting to the touch.

Viewed from afar, the wood fibres blend into the surface, up close they become an interesting design feature that catches the eye.

Great chairsVerified BuyerThe chairs are comfortable and stable. The only down side to these chairs is the height. I would really like them to be at least 2 inches taller. I am not tall and at least with these chairs my feet do touch the ground but I am too low down to be comfortable eating at the table. We have had to buy seat cushions elsewhere to help give a bit of extra height….the ones available in IKEA were not thick enough.4
OdgerVerified Buyergood comfortable chair that feels solid5
Great chair once assembledVerified BuyerGreat chair when assembled but do be careful doing so. The plastic plugs snap very easily - we have had to replace two already. Probably something Ikea needs to look at.4
Look better in the pictures,Verified BuyerLook better in the pictures, not as deep black as expected3
Nice chairNerak8Bought the Anthracite colour. Comes in two parts, easy to put together and pretty solid once done. Only had one available when I went - so hoping they are not going to be discontinued because I need some more.5

Sturdy but stylishGMLawSuper easy to assemble, no tools required. Modern styling but timeless, very comfortable to sit on and looks great too just molds to your body. Sustainable materials too.5
Loved them but a bit priceyCloughdaThese are great chairs and complement our Kitchen/diner area. We did think they were a bit pricey for what they actually were, recycled plastic. Anyway all in all a good Chair.5
Great recyclingJessicaRAmazing product to say it's made from recycled material. Easy to put together. Looks brilliant and sits comfortable.5
Chic, nice texture and the colours are perfectDanielaOBI was a little put off by the price, but I’m not disappointed. The chair looks very chic, it’s the easiest thing I’ve ever assembled, and it is definitely worth the price for comfort. The angle you sit at is perfect. I’m going to get a few more too, they’re just great. I feel a lot better knowing it’s made from recycled materials too, feels worth paying a bit more for.5

Designer thoughts

"When we designed ODGER chair we were inspired by both ski boots and pie dishes with removable bottoms. The reason was that we wanted to find a way to quickly and easily fix the legs to the seat and backrest. In the end, the solution was a simple click mechanism. Another innovation is that the material is a mix of renewable wood and recycled plastic. The result is a chair with true, clean lines ‒ which is also very comfortable to sit on thanks to the bowl-shaped seat and the rounded backrest."
