The board is deformed andVerified BuyerThe board is deformed and bent. It needs to be installed and then disassembled and returned. It is very troublesome. The packaging is very unreasonable and too long.1

Very sturdy and practicalMohammedKI liked the look and feel of this unit and the cloths rail is good for day to day use without needing to put everything away into the bigger wardrobes. Took around 60-90 minutes to assemble, had to triple check at each stage to make sure I didn’t make a mistake. The drawers assembled quickly compared to previous Ikea designs.5
Perfect little wardrobeMartina278It's a great piece of furniture. Ideal for my little bedroom with an angled ceiling where an ordinary wardrobe wouldn't fit. I love the colour and texture of the material. (It's smooth but matt) From the previous reviews I was worried how difficult it will be to assemble it but it was easy. I didn't have a problem whatsoever. I don't have kids or pets so I didn't attach it to the wall and it's perfectly stable.5

Shocked that ikea sell such a flawed design!John dorrI liked how this item looked, and after reading some reviews saying it’s tricky to put together and ikea responses to improve the design I was optimistic and bought one. It was ok to put together until it came to the draws. The drawers are not assembled in the way ikea drawers usually are, it’s a new design that doesn’t work. The sides click together which I thought was a good feature. However, when it came to fixing on the drawer fronts, it involved a plastic band that has plastic plugs on that you press into the holes on the drawer front. The holes are a keyhole shape. So you press in the plug into the wider end and then slide it down to the narrow end to trap it and then click a plastic tip to lock into place. The plastic tip would not click to lock into place. Some of them did but then if you touched it it would click open. They are not flush with the wood, so any clothing could snag and or putting clothing in could catch it and it would click open again. I persevered and fitted them as best as I could. However, with out even putting clothing in the drawer fronts came off when I slid them into the chest of drawers. I fixed them on again and had a go of opening the drawers and they fell off again. Very frustrating after spending time building to then have the drawers fall apart at the final stage. I called ikea, they said it’s faulty plastic bands. But I said I find it hard to believe that all 5 pairs would be faulty and that the design is so flawed that it would never last. They were good and offered me a refund, and now I have to go through dismantling it all so it can be collected by IKEA. Very poor designed drawers, and it has now put me off ikea products with drawers in case they will all be following this design now.1
Difficult assembly due to poor machining of partsJonefGreat looking product but when it came to assembly I found dowel holes were too small and pillar bolt holes too large. This caused the framework to wobble, then collapse under its own considerable weight. This in turn damaged the side and support panels beyond repair. However, IKEA accepted the returned item without quibble, which was good.1

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
