These drawers are so much better than the ones replacing them. The depth of the draw is much bigger than the replacement ones. Im very sad to see them go. IKEA needs to rethink its replacement

I have owned the IKEA MALM drawers for a couple of years now, and the quality is incredibly poor. I am actually on my second unit because the first one broke, and now the second one is broken too.
The main issue is the drawers constantly falling off the rollers. I discovered that one of the drawers was actually manufactured slightly shorter than the others, meaning it doesn't even reach the tracks properly to stay on line. On top of that, the rail fronts are so fragile that I have already had to replace them twice because they break so easily.
Save your money and look elsewhere. The materials are cheap, the quality control is terrible, and the drawers simply do not hold up over time.

Not soft closingAnonymous reviewerGood chest of drawers. Easy to assemble and looks great. I didn’t realise the soft closing drawers don’t come as standard though. I feel these are a must really and that’s why I’ve only scored 4 stars and not 5. This wasn’t made very clear on the website. Lesson learned.

Good looking chest of drawers but a nightmare to assembleAnonymous reviewerMy batch came with wrong wholes and it took me twice the normal time to put it together, moreover because the wholes of the edges of the drawers were not marked correctly it became a nightmare to put it tougher. The final
product came along quite well but I am not sure how long it will last and my drawers are catching so it will be a mission using it daily. I am not using Ikea again despite of the fact that I really used to like their product but it just doesn’t worth the trouble and the time to assemble their furniture.
So think twice before purchasing

What is particleboard?
