Suitable for business use.

This versatile bed frame will look great with your choice of textiles and bedroom furniture.

You can sit up comfortably in bed thanks to the high headboard; just prop some pillows behind your back and you will have a comfortable place to read or watch TV.

You can easily vacuum under the bed frame to keep the space clean and dust-free.

Adjustable bed sides allow you to use mattresses of different thicknesses.

LURÖY slatted bed base with curved slats helps to absorb your body weight and supports your body, while the open construction allows air to circulate and keeps the mattress fresh.

Reviews

Squeaky bed Anonymous reviewerEasy enough to put together but the problem is the squeaks it makes with every little movement, glad to see I’m not the only one. Have tried tightening everything and tried advice from past reviews but nothing fixes the issue.2
GreatAnonymous reviewerIm very happy with this item!5
Malm kingsize bed construction Anonymous reviewerRight!!!! .....question, ..why have you decided to change the design of the locking " wheel"( i have had a malm bed in the past and put it together easy) myself and my partner ( both 60 + yrs) were totally frustrated because we couldn't get it right, in the end I had to get a family member to help, luckily we did manage to finish the construction, eventually....and another change...the headboard used to be one piece but now it's 2 pieces. More unnecessary time...why?... but we had a good night sleep after all that...but design ...not happy3
Brilliant bedAnonymous reviewerSo easy to put together. Very well made with easy to follow instructions. Highly recomended5
IKEA MalmAnonymous reviewerGreat wasn’t assemble product.5
Malm bedAnonymous reviewerVery strong bed love it5
BedAnonymous reviewerThis furniture is sturdy, and functional. Reliable and value for money. It is my go to range for storage and reliable furniture.5
Great productAnonymous reviewerLooks good and easy to assemble5
King size- faulty Anonymous reviewerI ordered the IKEA Malm bed frame with high expectations, especially given its popularity and generally good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. the product arrived faulty. As shown in the photo, the bottom edge of the board is open and unfinished, which clearly looks like a manufacturing defect rather than wear and tear. For a bed at this price point and from a brand like IKEA, this level of quality control is unacceptable. The issue is not cosmetic only; it raises concerns about durability and long-term use. Overall, I’m disappointed and would not recommend this product unless IKEA improves quality checks or replaces faulty parts without hassle.1
PerfectAnonymous reviewerAll good5
SolidAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble. Solid. Good value5
Poor headboardAnonymous reviewerThis bed used to be a very good bed. However Ikea have changed some of the features in that the bed is less solid and the headboard comes in 2 parts. It used to be one large stronger part to the back of the bed. The bed doesn’t wear well :(2
Gave me back acheAnonymous reviewerI bought this trusting ikea. Got a new mattress for it, and developed back pain, for months I thought it’s the mattress, tried returning the mattress but they denied saying one month is passed and there’s no physical issues with the mattress. Slept on the sofa and saved money for a Simba mattress. Tried a few nights and the back pain returned. I took the mattress and put it on the floor and felt no pain. It’s the bed. Shame I paid £241 for delivery and assembly. Now back to trying to save money for another bed. Never buying anything from ikea again and it’s not even cheap anymore. Temu’s furniture is the same quality if not better.1
Squeaky bedAnonymous reviewerGlad to see I’m not the only one who had issues with this beds quality. The assembly was tricky and the quality of the slats hasn’t held up very well, making the bed squeak when you move.3
Ikea bed frameAnonymous reviewerGreat bed frame, easy to install, and very strong5
Great quality and very stylishAnonymous reviewerThis bed has quite a unique design, and looks good in my room setting. It was relatively easy to assemble, although careful assembly does require some time to be taken. The assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow, and all the required parts were included in my delivery. Once assembled, it seems sturdy and likely to give a good number of years of service.5
Poor quality screwsAnonymous reviewerScrews are such bad quality that they scuff and bend when trying to put them in. Had to order spare parts from Ikea so couldn’t set the bed up for over a week. Not a good experience.3
BedAnonymous reviewerVery good service5
My last review was taken down. Why should bother this time.Anonymous reviewerPlease be aware Ikea only put the good reviews on their website.4
Bad Quality BedAnonymous reviewerWe bought this last year, we thought it was going to be solid/ strong bed but the reality is, it is very flimsy and it broke easily. Every night now we go to bed the sought of part of the bed is dropping down on the floor is dreadful. We're looking into buying a new bed now. We would not recommend it at all.1

What is veneer?

A veneer is a thin wooden sheet fixed on things like particleboards to add a durable surface and a natural wood look – so we enjoy the many benefits of wood without using solid wood. The most common veneer types are birch, ash, oak and beech and we’ve made a special UV lacquer that helps preserve the wood's natural structure. A benefit with a slightly thicker veneer is how you can repair and sand the surface if it’s damaged to give furniture a longer and more beautiful life.
