Comfy, bit on warm sideVerified BuyerI read the Which reviews and after a few weeks this is still comfy. Very good value but I’m finding the foam top layer warm in February , but my husband isn’t! Instructions recommend you use a mattress protector and just a thin quilted protector has evened it out so you don’t sink in when you roll over. Was difficult to buy a mattress in lockdown so this good value mattress seemed a safe bet for the price. My husband had backache with our old mattress but not with the new one.4
Nicely packaged, looks good, I find it hardVerified BuyerIt looks good, nicely made and great packaging. It does say it is medium firm but I would describe it as firm. I would prefer something softer or at least a soft topper. I think I will have to get a memory foam topper3
ComfortableVerified BuyerThe most comfortable mattress I've owned, fantastic value for money5
*Spine transplant pending*Verified BuyerSlept on this mattress for 2 months so far & for balance I'll start with the pros: Easy the transport home in a car. You won't feel your partner move about next to you as it doesn't dip. Great height and sits nicely on the Hemnes bed frame for which it was bought. Handles on the side for easy 180 turning. Cons: HARD AS NAILS!!!! Advertised as medium/firm but for a side sleeper it feels like sleeping on the pavement, in fact sleeping on the pavement might be more comfortable. From the first night I've had either a sore stiff neck or shoulder pain so bad I've had to take painkillers to get through the day and then dreading going to sleep only to repeat the cycle. Horrendous. I'm aware that a new mattress may need some time to soften/adjust to your body but at this point I'm ready to return. As side sleepers, my partner and myself, find ourselves flat on our backs just trying to get comfortable to no avail. Really unfortunate this mattress is just not comfortable for a side sleeper who may need something softer because the shoulder and neck pain just isn't worth the bargin price. At this point I'm ready to raid the rubbish tip for my old mattress back. ITS HOT!!! HOT HOT HOT... woke up a few times so drenched in sweat that I've had to change night clothes as I was soaking. We do have a mattress protector, which my contribute to the heat, but this was ridiculous because we've used the same protector on our old bed and it was fine.3
DB MattressVerified BuyerVery comfy quality mattress.5
Great mattressVerified BuyerI bought with confidence as I knew we could change it within 90 days if the mattress wasn’t suitable, which is a fantastic added guarantee, haven’t needed it so far, comfy and just the right firmness5
Lovely mattress, great how it’sVerified BuyerLovely mattress, great how it’s so compact so it’s easy to transport home. My car is very small but managed to fit in this double mattress with no fuss. Overall very comfortable.4
Double mattressVerified BuyerVery good quality and value for money. Comes with a 25 year guarantee5
Bought to go on SlattumVerified BuyerBought to go on Slattum bed frame. Does the job well. Very useful that it comes rolled up rather than 'flat' as had to get up to a third floor room with small 'circular staircase and no lift.5
Fantastic price for a greatVerified BuyerFantastic price for a great mattress5
Like a rockPilchWe purchased this mattress (medium/firm) in April 2019 after testing them out in store. For the first few weeks it was great and a massive improvement on our old mattress. Then we started to notice that we were waking up in lots of pain particularly in our shoulders (we are only in our 20's). The mattress has become like a rock, it is now so firm that even when pushing down with as much pressure as possible it barely makes a dent. To fix this we have had to purchase a memory foam topper. Now after just a year we are looking to replace the mattress completely, it may be cheap but if it needs replacing this often you'd be better off spending more money on something that would last.1
Very Poor MattressJohn153454321I tried this mattress in-store before purchasing. I lay on my side for about 10 minutes to ensure that I felt comfortable which I did. I can pretty much sleep deeply on anything so wasn't expecting anything amazing for the price but the mattress that I received from Ikea is awful and nothing like the one that I tried in-store. I wake up every 30mins in pain so have started using a £10 air mattress. It's had time to break-in but still no improvement. If I want to swap it I'll have to pay another delivery fee but I know the one that I get will be similar. I'd rather just have a refund but Ikea don't do them for mattresses.1
Very comfortableaceingEasy to transport in its rolled up state. When released from its bindings, it soon transforms into a great frim mattress.Very pleased with purchase.5
So comfortableGem365Bought for my sons bed (songesand) and have to say it's perfect. I bought it with the luroy base and opted for med/firm which the two together offer plenty of support without being too soft or too hard, it's just right. I've got a Hemnes bed with premium ikea base and Hyllestad med/firm mattress which is far too hard. Wished I'd chosen this one!5
Tf234Great product realy comfortable good price5
Comfy and Supportivejoee64When I bought the mattress I was expecting it to be more firm than the one I tried in store as a lot of people probably sit/lay on it every day. Much to my delight the mattress is sooo comfy and has soon softened up. Try before you buy, but you probably won’t be disappointed!! I will be buying another when I furnish my spare room so guests can sleep well too.5
Decent Mattressb3cksGreat mattress. Really portable, easy to get home, simple enough to unwrap and comfy4
Sever neck painVlad RI bought the medium firmness model of this mattress. The medium firmness will be felt as actually medium - soft. I have severe neck pain1
Needs replacing after 4.5 yrsEm0780We bought this mattress in late 2015 when we moved house. And although it has been a solid mattress for the first few yrs we noticed after about 3 years the mattress starting loosing it's shape and steardiness. Some of the pockets seemed to easily collapse. Now 4.5 yrs into having it we wake every morning with sore backs, the mattress has dents where we sleep and we need to replace it. Considering the guidelines for mattresses say they need to be replaced after 7-10 yrs, this mattress needs replacing in half that time. Really disappointed in the long jevity of this product.1
Great value for the moneyJackandJill62For the money it’s great value and comfortable.5

Roll-packed – not just easy to take home

Most of our mattresses and all mattress pads come roll-packed. This saves space and costs less to transport, allowing us to also reduce our carbon footprint by having fewer trucks on the road. We can then pass our cost savings on to you and you can take home your new mattress much more easily. It’s a win-win situation for you and the environment.

Designer thoughts

"As a designer I’m inspired by patterns, so I began creating the mattresses with lots of shapes in mind. Dots, stripes and squares, combined in all sorts of ways. Suddenly I remembered the quilted winter coats of my childhood – and the pattern was born. Different squares for different sizes, and seams on the thinner mattresses that make a striped pattern. The number of seams increases along with the price and the quilted squares give extra support. I hope you’ll find a mattress to suit both your body and your wallet."
