Poor choice of finishAnonymous reviewerThe drawers themselves are brilliant. But it’s the newer grey finish. I bought my first set seven years ago and they had a tough finish. We bought two more sets back in May in the grey and it’s more of a stain. Soft wood with a light stain is a bad combination, I expect these to to look awful in no time. Quite disappointing, considering. IKEA really messed op on that choice of finish. 1

For the space it takes up - this HEMNES unit offers lots of really useful and practical drawer space with a super combination of different sized drawers! I’d definitely recommend the glass top to finish the look off and protect the surface. 5
