Always secure the cord to the wall with the included cord fasteners.

The included LED light source is replaceable.

This lamp has mechanical dimming. Turning the lampshade button turns a plate inside the lampshade to allow more or less light through.

Handy bedside lampAnonymous reviewerThe lamp is very adaptable, directions of glow can easily be manoeuvred. I also liked the way it could be dimmed by turning the screw beneath the lamp. With the bulb being enclosed it is easier to clean.
Two things I didn’t like. Why a green cable on a white lamp. It spoils the look on my white walls. Also the plug is huge, hard to hide behind a cabinet.
WobblyAnonymous reviewerOK for about a year but then the part connecting the light to the arm becomes loose with no way of tightening it. The result of this is that you can't direct the lamp and it hangs loose. I expected higher quality from IKEA. I missed the one year guarantee by a few days and IKEA would not let me exchange it.
AvoidAnonymous reviewerIf you really must but this lamp keep the receipt forever! You won't be able to find a working replace bulb anywhere else and to get a new bulb from Ikea you have to show a proof of purchase as it is a "warranty thing" to exchange a bulb. Our bulb lasted around a year. Without the receipt you can bin the lamp straight away when it stops.

Nice lamp until it failsAnonymous reviewerThis was used as a child's bedside lamp. We've had the light for about 4 years & it recently started worked intermittently. The bulb is non-standard & IKEA no longer sell them. Accessing the bulb involves removing several parts. We discovered a loose connection, but it's impossible to fix due to the design of the light. Very disapointing as it was a great lamp initially. Have now purchased an alternative elsewhere which uses a standard bulb & where the wiring can be accessed.
Why not white cablingAnonymous reviewerNice functional lamp, but for us it’s let down by baby blueish cabling, why oh why not fit white cabling to match the lamp colour. The lamps are unlikely to be used in this house but we will find an alternative home for them
Reading lampAnonymous reviewerAn easy to fix reading lamp. Reasonably bright and simple to use, adjustable flap to get full brightness or slightly dimmed light. The wire plug could have been longer. Screws are not provided for the wall install though, which I thought was poor.
Replacement bulb never arrivesAnonymous reviewerFollowing the previous review, the customer service said that there are replacement bulbs in the banks. However, further escalation reveal that there are none and they can’t tell you the estimated timeline it is going to arrive or even whether it has been ordered.
Do they even exists? I have been trying to find these bulbs for over 6 months now and it is beyond impossible.
I cannot believe that Ikea, on one hand, claim to be sustainable and care about the environment and on the other, just force customers to buy a new lamp instead of just replacing the bulb.
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PRACTICE! DON’T BUY THIS LAMP.
Obviously, I am not the only one with this point of view.

Good product but replacement bulbs not availableAnonymous reviewerWe have two of these lamps and a similar table lamp, all using the same GUZ 5.3 bulb. Despite what IKEA says above (14.3.24) spare bulbs are not available. The bulb is unique to IKEA, so if the bulb fails the product is unusable.
Brilliant product with one downsideAnonymous reviewerThis lamp has lasted us many years. It is loved. Sadly the led bulb finally went out. Website says it is replacable, contact customer services to order as a spare part. Customer services don't seem to know about it and were unable to find a replacement so we were given a voucher instead. We are happy as have another light, but it is a shame that the product is redundant when the LED blows.

Great sturdy softly lit lampAnonymous reviewerI bought this as a reading lamp for above my sons bed. It is quite softly lit but he seems fine with it. Easy to control the brightness. I have it plugged into a smart plug to control with alexa but the push button is solid too. Cord nice and long so it's out of the way under the bed. Great addition.

No spare bulbs in IKEAAnonymous reviewerIt was a nice lamp. But I am very disappointed because new bulb is not available as a spare part as it states in the instruction for the product. Even after many month of trying and checking, bulbs are not available. Probably lamp will go to a rubbish bin, unfortunately.
