Product details

25 year guarantee. Read about the terms in the guarantee brochure.

Laminate worktops are very durable and easy to maintain. With a little care, they stay like new for many years.

You can cut the worktop to the length you want and cover the edges with the 2 included edging strips.

The thinner worktop with straight edging strip works perfectly in a modern style kitchen.

Create a perfectly coordinated look by combining this worktop with a matching wall panel.

Even though laminate is a durable material you should never place hot pots or pans directly on the worktop without a trivet or pot stand.

Do not place a toaster, coffee maker, kettle or other kitchen appliances that emit heat directly over a seam between two worktops because the heat can damage the seam.

Really pleased with the lookVerified BuyerReally pleased with the look of this worktop. I wanted a bathroom worktop with a concrete style finish but the few I could find online were really expensive. I bought this kitchen worktop and cut it down. It looks really good and stylish. A great buy for the money.5

Lovely and cheapHgfdsalkjGood quality, nice pattern. Great price!5
worktoopLydiaLNice worktop and cheap, the only down side is that sometimes you can actually see shades when is drying after cleaning. It depends on how the light falls over the worktop;but for the price is OK;4
water damagecwp1Bought 4 pieces in november but only got round to fitting them 2 weeks ago, OK they look good and were well priced but the one by the sink is already damaged by water. the water seems to entering through a minute gap between the front edging strip and the protective 50mm wide clear plastic film which is applied underside the worktop, this was causing the chipboard to swell. I had to sand it all back and painted the area with a 2 part acrylic in order to water proof it, fingers crossed . It was a DIY fitting and the time and effort to replace it is daunting. The previous worktops from wickes had lasted 30 years. Sum up Can't recommend for anywhere likely to get wet1
Looks good if you don’t use itLB2MMcLooks very stylish, unfortunately scratches easily. Dropped a glass and it cut through to the wood! Was only a thin glassed wine glass and not from any height. Was surprised it damaged so easily! Shows every grease mark so unless you intend to not use it or constantly polish it I wouldn’t bother. Seemed a bargain at the time but you get what you pay for I suppose.2
Poor worktopMrikeashopperEasily scratched, hard to buff out Mark's, no matter how much the worktop is cleaned it always looks dirty. One to avoid.1
Great quality worktopsboba26Our worktops were fitted 18 months ago and are still as new excellent quality, nice finish and great price5
Unfit for purposeandrec8Although it looks great at first, it quickly becomes covered in scratches. There is a new scratch almost every day even though we treat it with great care due to its propensity to scratch at any opportunity. It is not clear what the 25 year warranty is supposed to cover if this is starting to look bad after only 6 months.2

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What are foil and laminate?

Some wood materials need protection with a durable and easy-care foil or laminate surface. The choice depends on the end use and desired finish. We often use paper foil for storage furniture, while plastic foil suits demanding areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Today, the plastic we use is mostly recycled and our goal is to use plastic from renewable sources. Laminate is made of resin-impregnated paper, which adds a durable and moisture-resistant surface for countertops.

Quality

Built and tested to last

We believe that our kitchen worktops should meet your highest demands when it comes to design and performance, without compromise. That’s why we test our worktops, and put them up against the everyday challenges they’ll face in your kitchen: liquids, oil, food, steam, heat, bumps and scratches. When they’ve passed our testing, we know they’ll last, and we guarantee it for 25 years.
