This rug is DREADFULAnonymous reviewerWe saw this rug and it looked good in store. It was the only rug in this particular shade - we tried everywhere! It was to replace a Louis De Poortere rug, so it had big boots to fill.
It’s absolutely AWFUL. We got rid of it today, after 5 months, but for those five months, it continually shedded fibres. Day in, day out, fibres. I’m a compulsive house cleaner, so it’s not that I wasn’t cleaning it enough.
The thing looked awful at the end. So glad to get rid. AVOID!!!1

Nice and soft, but needs firmer backingAnonymous reviewerThe rug looks nice, but because the backing isn't very sturdy the rug doesn't stay smoothly in place. Instead it tends to form wrinkles and curves even when placed on our rough carpet. It doesn't look as tidy as I'd like and it needs constant re-smoothing. 4
Avoid like the plagueAnonymous reviewerWas happy with the white rug when purchased. Came to spot clean it (according to instructions) 2 months later and it left grey discolouration once dried, I can only assume it was the colour seeping through from the backing. I contacted Customer Service, sent a picture and was accused of leaving old stains untreated. I'm now left with a 2 month old rug which looks like it's been down for years and which IKEA refuse to exchange.

Gets grubby too fastAnonymous reviewerI've had many off-white / cream rugs from Ikea over the years, and this one is by far the worst for getting grubby and showing dirt. Sections that are walked over 5 - 10 times a day have now gone grey and this can't be hoovered out. The rug is about 3 months old, but looks older (in fact it looks due for replacement). It does have a nice look when new, but I certainly won't be buying this one again. As you probably know, trying to clean synthetic off-white rugs is a bit of a waste of time / money, so they need to stay looking OK for a good while. This one has definitely failed! My advice is: avoid.1
Lovely rug but avoid cleaningAnonymous reviewerThis is a really good quality rug and very well priced but after spilling something on it and cleaning it as advised on the back of the rug I was disappointed to see that the black backing had bled through to the front so am now left with a grey patch on a cream rug - a cream backing may be more appropriate1
