Bought againAnonymous reviewerBought this product Again, as was very pleased with the previous mixer tap. There is a difference in operation though. This one is vertical for hot , horizontal for cold . The previous one was vertical for neutral , forward for hot ,backwards for cold. E-mail address for Customers are Not Available for IKEA ,So I couldn't take it further to question the New Operation.
Easy to fit and looks great Anonymous reviewerNice styling useful tap easy to manoeuvre to where the water is needed
“Brass” rubs off!Anonymous reviewerBeautiful looking tap. But we’ve only had it installed a few weeks and the brass is already coming off at the top!!!! We don’t use harsh products so are a bit mystified but assume this will happen to other ones so I guess we will have to replace. This will be highly inconvenient as we will need to call out a plumber with all the expense of that involved…. I would say, if you’re going for this one, choose chrome only so that there’s no finish to wear off. We are very very disappointed.

Material
What is brass?
Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the amounts vary depending on the desired properties. Copper is usually the main material and the more zinc you add results in the brass being harder and stronger, but also results in it being more difficult to shape and less resistant to rust. Brass can be recycled as brass but never into its original metals. At IKEA we use brass for things like knobs, handles, frames and taps.
