Designer thoughts
"My design for the IKEA PS wardrobe tidy was inspired by the lifestyle of nomads. A wandering existence creates demands on storage that ordinary wardrobes can't meet. A wardrobe is for storing clothes, so it seems natural to make it from textiles - and that also makes it easier to move about. I was also looking for a different shape, and the 'tent' feeling with fabric stretched around a circular construction means you don't have to place the wardrobe against a wall. I rather like the idea of having several of them in different rooms - like tiny nomad tents scattered around your home."
