Why is it so noisy?ReneeIt is a lamp and a wireless charger, honestly it doesn't need to make any sound at all and it is so loud when in use. Also after, because the base heats up while charging, and because of the metal design it expands and contracts making random cracking noises. But also electrical pulsing and ticking sounds while charging. Along with the cracking, make it a terrible bedside table. I really miss the previous design that had a mostly wooden base that wouldn't make so any noise at all. The old design also allowed you to change the light bulb! Also the button on top to turn the light on is SO difficult to press, you have to have the grip strength of twelve men, making it extremely inaccessible as a lamp as well. The only version was easy to turn on. Although 2 of those lamps died within a couple of years use, and from the looks of reviews this one won't last long either. I should probably give up on the idea that IKEA could design a product like this without such significant design flaws. 2
Handsome lamp spoilt by high pitched noise and ineffective charge padCarolineThis lamp looks great, is perfectly adjustable, and would be great if that was it. However the charge pad rarely works at all and never for long. It’s only now, after 3 YEARS of wondering what the high pitched sound is in our bedroom (we mistook it for wind whistling in somewhere)… that I’ve finally realised it’s cool whine from this lamp. And with one on either side of the bed it’s very annoying. Such a shame because they’re actually the best looking bedside lamps I’ve found. Might be fine for a desk or craft zone, definitely not for quiet bedrooms. 3
Not happy SungI purchased this lamp last weekend, and unfortunately the charging station is very temperamental and doesn’t work consistently. The main benefit of buying this lamp was the charging feature, but since it’s unreliable, the purpose is defeated. Overall, I’m not happy with this purchase.2
Efficient use of space.SusanMakes a good bedside lamp. Great to be able to charge phone and tablet without having extra cables dangling everywhere.5
Unusable, and impossible to change bulbKateI've had this lamp for a while. I packed it away after maybe 3 years of use because it was making a horrible high pitched squeak whenever the lamp was turned on. Just pulled it out because I need a desk lamp, thinking I might be able to change the bulb to resolve the issue but I cannot get the bulb out at all. By Ikea standards it wasn't a cheap lamp so pretty disappointing overall.2
Ideal table side lamp for use whilst watching tv or working on computerDenisSmall, convenient and ideal for the purpose it was designed. Has good reading light output when you purchase the additional LED globe. Fully adjustable height and viewing direction with the added bonus of having inbuilt phone chargers5
RecommendedSimonBought two of these because I was sick of all the cables near our bed. Only need one power cable to each of the lamps. Very wife friendly. Yay!
Wireless charging overnight has consistently got between ~35-50% on a google pixel 5 and 7a, and an iPhone 13. This has generally been enough for me with the occasional top up via USB-C. Need to be careful where you place the phone.
USB-C is great. Can even charge my laptop when turned off, or keep it topped up while using it. BIOS will tell me it's not providing enough power of I reboot. Did I tell you I use arch?4
Charging function brokeAnonymous reviewerCharging function broke so the whole benefit of getting this lamp is now void.1
Fits my needs and moreWilliamLove the look, provides me with lightening and wireless charging and cables charging, can’t ask for anything more 5
Absolute disappointing Had two of these both failed with only light use. PeterGood idea with both methods of charging but unreliable.1
Great Light not so the chargerTanyaWireless phone charger simply doesn't work. Very misleading to say it's a best seller and show photos of the phone charging without plugging in a cord - which is the only way it will charge a phone! the light switch at the back is also very awkward. Poor design.1

Lovely looking lamp, good sizeBeckLovely looking lamp, good size and light distribution. The wireless charger is hit or miss though; disappointing considering I bought it specifically for this feature.3
Great product, could be more powerfulPaulLoving this product. Only real complaint is that the charger could be a little more powerful for a faster charge.5
Mixed opinion.RobThe aim is to give me a light and charge my phone. The light is great. The phone charging is weird. It may start working and then stop. But it does have a USB-C port so I just plug my phone into that. Disappointed. But we need more devices like this, but it helps if they work as described.5
Great light, phone charger could be betterAmandaUsing as a bedside reading lamp. Light works well and looks good. never gives a 100% overnight phone charge but good enough charge to last the next day.4
