Works great as a window bench seatKirthanaThe manual is surprisingly easy to follow to put this together. Got stuck at the end when the clips have to go in fully to secure the draws. My fingers were nearly destroyed, till I used the end of the rubber mallet handle to gently tap it into place. You have to hear it click. Worked beautifully. It’s sturdy , love the colour , and it fit in the space under the bedroom window.5

Terrible qualityRoss4689Some holes were a few mm off, this created gaps between panels. The instructions are not great and could be fixed by labelling/numbering the panels. Ive had other ikea furniture which was great but this piece is poorer quality than I'd expect for the price.1

Poor Material QualityMatt12The piece comes with low density fibre board or at least fibre board that is low quality. So it was almost impossible to assemble without breaking it. We barely managed to get it together, the screws wouldn't hold in the fibreboard and edges of the fibreboard would crack. Now it works well enough, but I will never be able to dissassemble it. It'll break and might also break when we move next time.2

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
