Promising but ultimately disappointing.StuartI like the idea of a portable induction stove. I've used them in Airbnbs.
This one looked great, but had two flaws. One minor, one major.
The good news is that this device runs well but does not have a cooking timer.
A small inconvenience, but other stoves do have them.
The bigger problem is the fan on this device. We have had experiences where we walk into a room after the stove had been turned off; the cooking was finished, but the fan was running with no heat on the stovetop. No cooling was needed after not cooking for hours.
On closer investigation, the stove was starting up in the middle of the night. And turning off after perhaps 15 minutes or half an hour. But doing this repeatedly hour after hour.
More recently, the problem has been getting worse.
I will be returning the device. Which is a hassle, its a long way to the shop.1

Poor interface, decent outputCallumThis has a significant oversight in the touch panel controls, where if you are boiling something and it splashes onto the control panel it detects that liquid as an input which alters the settings. Also suffers from a lack of granular control: setting 3 is too hot, 2 is too cold.3

Prefer old model with timerWendyHave used the old model for 5 years. When it broke down, I bought a new one and was disappointed to find the timer function, which is very useful, no longer exit. The fan was a bit noisy when in use.3
great hotplateLorrainefantastic option for blackouts & when camping if you can't light a fire in open.5
Poor quality & electrical designSagarthis thing pulses on and off when set to lower power ie the default power is 2000w, and when you turn temperature control down eg to level 4, it just switches on and off the 2000w power thereby sending pulses of 2000w as an illusion of 800w.
completely useless can’t simmer with this, can’t heat oil at consistent temperature for frying. Total wasted money.1

Faulty faulty faulty AndrewI’ve bought 4 of these and returned 4 of these. The power increases by itself (dangerous), turns down or off by itself (annoying), the glass above the buttons gets hot to the touch (to the point it hurts to control). One stove started to bulge out of one side. Would not recommend.1

Awesome back up hob!SheraleeI live rurally and we rely on LPG gas for our cooking - which is great until the gas delivery is late and we run out of gas.
I also sometimes find that water doesn’t boil on my gas stove - which I think is due to the low pressure when we’re running low on gas.
Enter this induction hob. Compact enough to store away on a shelf when we don’t need it, and portable enough to use it anywhere when we do. I’ve used it in the kitchen to cook pasta, and on the table to stir and simmer jam while watching tv. It would be perfect for using in a caravan or small apartment too.

Good cheap not tacky cheapRoszarieWe were looking for an alternative to electric stovetop (expensive and frustrating when it goes off the boil) and benchtop gas (dangerous, wobbly and apparently bad for health because of fumes).
After a slew of research we took a punt on a Tillreda and are stoked!
Addressing the Cons:
• Four seconds to disable the Child lock is *pfft* no hassle.
• We had enough suitable cookware to offset the fact that not all of our existing pots could be used on the induction cooker.
If a magnet stuck to it, we were good to go. I only had to purchase one saucepan for specific needs (because I wanted a particular size with a pouring lip) and
• Nobody in our house has a pacemaker
Pros:
• Cheap to buy and run
• Small footprint on bench and in cupboard
• Easy to clean AND
• It's only a couple of extra minutes for "wok hei".
The same applies to pots & pans that may be larger than the central cook zone.
Overall, feels like a bonus at a discount price.4
