Start... stop; start...stop", etc. Tried changing batteries, etc., and finally concluded that the little lever which holds the negative end of the battery in position is not strong enough to maintain its function. This is a medium sized clock that looks beautiful. The best part is that unlike most clocks, the seconds hand makes no sound so you don't hear any tick tock.
