Creaking and SqueakingSusmitaThe MALM bed took us several hours to assemble, which was already quite frustrating. We eventually managed to put it together, but unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there.
The bed makes a lot of noise even with very small movements. Simply sitting on the bed, placing a phone or another small object on it, or turning over while sleeping can cause noticeable creaking and squeaking noises. It’s especially frustrating at night when even a small movement wakes us up or disturbs our sleep. I am not happy with the product.1
Super comfortable bed with excellent under bed Storage optionCathieThis is our second Malm bed in Oak Veneer, one of the kids liked mine so much they had to have their own. And the option of having the under bed storage drawers is a massive bonus. This bed is sturdy and easily compliments whatever room you put it into with it’s clean lines.5

no slats in the box??Indiai was building the bed and get to the bit where i had to put the slats on. why don’t yous put the slats in the box?? its advertised on the online add why is it no in the box in store?2
Squeaky and noisyJamesWithin 12 months of use it is squeaking a lot. After 18 months of use now it is ridiculously loud and will need a new bed frame. MDF particle board is poor quality for furniture.1
Not fit for purposeDaveThe main support under the bed is a flimsy metal pole that had needed to be replaced multiple times. Really disappointed with how poorly this has been designed.
Only purchase this product if you like driving to ikea every few weeks to replace the main metal support in the bed.1

Difficult to assemble NeethuThis is by far the worst product I’ve ever bought from ikea. The assembly process was extremely frustrating. The pri drilled holes and didn’t align properly with the screws, making it almost impossible to put parts together . It took a lot of time and energy,and I am still not satisfied with the final result. I usually like IKEA products, but this one was huge disappointment. Definitely not worth the effort1
Pretty SimpleFraserThis one was pretty simple / quick to assemble compared to the Brimnes with drawers. The biggest trick is the braces to hold the bed square - you really have to use force to get the screws to grip5
Lonset slatted bed frameLoriLonset slatted bed frame is very sturdy, but challenging to assemble. First bed base took two adults over an hour, second took 45 minutes. Would recommend the Luroy bed base as no assembling required. Overall very nice bed.5

Fantastic and beautiful bed frame!!!ValuedIts quite high and is perfect to match bedside table kullen and malm!! Its like living in an ikea showroom! Requires 2 people to speed things up during assembly but will do perfectly fine with 1 person! I have not encountered any of the other buyers problems and is perfectly sturdy!! Might need to use tutorial online if needed but is okay through manual!! 5 stars!!!5
