”When I designed the pattern for FERLE curtains and rug I was inspired by the sea. And by the topography, textures and rhythm that surround it – waves, corals and sand dunes. I became fascinated by the way nature forms patterns that look random at first, but are actually systematically built up into a structure. I built the pattern for FERLE in the same way – by placing the motifs one after the other to create a rhythm. The result is a pattern that is filled with movement. It’s also simple and graphic, which makes it easy for you to decorate with.”
