What you need to know:
- Know which new worktop you want to install, which type (laminate or wood veneer) and whether you want a standard or custom worktop.
- If you are unsure about choosing your worktop, take a look at our selection guide.
- Do you want to personalize your worksheet? Custom design it with our configurator.
- Provide the necessary materials to dismantle your current worktop and install the new one: meter, drill, cutter, jigsaw, hinges, trestles, protections... You will find all the information in the installation manual of your future worktop.
Steps:
- Turn off the electricity and water supplies to avoid any risk during the installation of your new worktop.
- Dismantle your built-in elements in your worktop and then remove the old worktop by removing the connections and avoiding as much as possible to damage the base that supports it. Usually it is sufficient to remove the silicone gaskets and any mounting screws.
- Cut your worktop to the right size (if necessary), as well as the location of your sink, mixer tap and hob.
- Set up your work surface. If the worktop requires multiple parts to be assembled, attach them together with glue suitable for the type of worktop. Once in place, add your sink, mixer tap and hob and secure all your elements with a gasket to ensure watertightness, especially around your splashback.
