We update stock availability several times per hour. That means that every time an item is sold, its sale is registered and stock status is updated accordingly.

A note about stock inventory

The impact from the corona pandemic influences the availability of products in the (online) stores. We are doing everything we can to make most of our products available for you soon. This is how you check the availability of your product:

1. Before visiting an IKEA store, we recommend you to check the availability of your product on our website or in the IKEA app first. We update our stock levels every few minutes. You can find the most recent stock status on the product pages. You have the possibility to check the availability of the product in your local IKEA store, or you can enter your zip code to see if the product is avaiable for delivery. 

2. If the product you are looking for is out of stock, you can click 'Check other IKEA stores' to see if the product is available in a different IKEA store. 

3. Products with the message 'low in stock' might not be available for you to purchase online. Because of the low stock levels, we cannot guarantee that we can reserve this product or you.

4. Our customer service agents see the exact same stock levels as you do. They cannot give you any more information on the availablity of your product via telephone or chat.

Product availability in an IKEA store

  1. Search or browse IKEA.com for the product you want. 
  2. Select the store to see the stock status, unless you haven’t already. You can also change the selected IKEA store.
  3. You’ll be able to see stock availability for the selected store now. 

What in-store product availability means

  • Item is available in store – item is available and probably available if you are in the store or close by.
  • Item is low in stock – item is running low and is expected to sell out during that day. 
  • Item is out of stock – item is not available in the store.

What to do if a product is not available at the store

Order it online

If a product is not available in-store, check to see if it’s available online. Items you buy online, however, are not reserved until you complete the purchase and have received an order confirmation.

Check another IKEA store

If a product is not available in the IKEA store you visit, you could also try checking its availability in another IKEA store.

Get notified when it’s back in stock

If the product you are looking for is not available in your store or another nearby IKEA store, you can get notified by SMS or e-mail when the product is back. Sign up for a back in stock notfication from the products details page. This also where you find information on when the product is expected to be available again.

  1. Search or browse IKEA.com for the product you want. 
  2. Add it to your bag. Then add your post code. 
  3. You’ll be able to see stock availability for different delivery and pick-up options such as home delivery, click & collect, or delivery to a pick-up point. 

What to do if a product is not available online

Check another delivery option

If a product is not available with your preferred delivery option, check if it is available with alternate delivery options.

Check availability in an IKEA store

If a product is not available online with any delivery option, you could also try checking the availability in an IKEA store of your choice. There you’ll have to option to sign up for a back in stock notification when the product is back in stock at that store.

Can I reserve articles in one of your stores?

No, products can’t be reserved. If your local store has stock availability we recommend you to make an order through Click & Collect. All delivery options can be found at our web page.

If an article is out of stock, how do I know when it is back in stock?

IKEA offers the possibility to sign up for a back in stock notification for articles temporally unavailable in your chosen store. You sign up through the product information page.

How can I see how many articles you have in stock in my preferred store.

Information is visible through the product information page. Simply click on your preferred store and additional information such as available stock quantity will be displayed.
