Stay cool in the heat

Beating the summer heat is easy with these smart ideas and products that are also good for your wallet. For example, consider airy bedding that responds to your body heat or an ergonomic pillow that not only relieves you, but always has one cooler side. Don't forget that curtains can block a lot of heat. Shouldn't all that help? Then you can always cool it with some cubes of ice. See more inspiration below.

Bed linen that helps keep the temperature right

Many types of fabric can help you stay comfortable in bed. Cotton, viscose, and lyocell, for example, transport moisture away from your body, helping you maintain a nice, even temperature. Linen is highly breathable and heat conducting, keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.

Keeping the heat out

Curtains and blinds can help your home stay at a comfortable temperature. Thicker curtains can keep out the sun’s hot rays and different layers in your windows also help insulate your home. So do cellular blinds, which have a honeycomb structure that traps air, a natural insulator, inside them.

Lie down and cool off

REXBEGONIA cooling pads and ROSENVIAL mattress protectors could be ideal if you’re too warm to sleep. They both make you feel cooler and you can even pop the cooling pad into your fridge before you use it, to increase the cooling effect. You can put it on a chair, too, as well as in your bed or pillowcase.

Cool comfort for your head, too

KLUBBSPORRE ergonomic pillows and KVARNVEN ergonomic pillows give you great comfort and support to help you sleep like a baby. And they both also have one special side that cools your head down if you’re too warm.

Did you know that air is a natural insulator?

Our double pleated blinds are a cost- and energy-saving way to create a comfortable indoor climate. They effectively reduce heat loss due to drafts and they reduce excess heat from the sun. The isolating blinds consist of smaller cells that trap the air and transform it into an insulating barrier between the window and the room.

Some ice could be useful

When the heat is on, a colander full of ice comes in very handy for soothing washcloths, cold drinks, a frozen-water bottle (like a hot-water bottle, only the opposite), and more. It’s a good idea to collect the melted water in a bowl so it doesn’t make a mess.
