Product details

PARASOLL door/window sensor is easy to place in different areas of the home since the parts can be mounted perpendicular to each other, opposite each other or side by side.

You can mount the sensor to your door or window with screws or with the double-sided tape that comes with the product.

You can combine the sensor with a smart light bulb that turns on when you open a door and turns off when you close it – ideal for a walk-in closet.

When connected to DIRIGERA hub, the sensor sends a notification to your smartphone with information when a door or a window is opened.

Powered by one rechargeable LADDA AAA battery that can be easily replaced.

Battery life is badBasThis device drains batteries within days. I have it in my home assistant network but it's basically useless. The upside? When the battery is alive, it works fine. But replacing your battery every week sometimes quicker is not great. Even after having bought the ikea rechargable's, no change.2
One of my favorite IKEA productsKonstantinI love almost everything about this little device: the looks, the feel, the soft-flashing LED. I have easily coupled it to the Dirigera hub, and then set up a rather complex behaviour with Home Assistant. So far it worked fine (about 4 months). I am going to try it for home security (using Home Assistant). One improvement recommendation: Provide it with a reusable double-sided tape to use before permanently attaching the sensor and the actuator. Finding the right position is sometimes challenging, especially when the device is inside closed space, and takes some trial and error. 5

And, when you connect PARASOLL to your IKEA Home smart system with a DIRIGERA hub, you can get notifications through the IKEA Home smart app. The sensor and the whole IKEA Home smart system is specifically designed to be easy to use by everyone in the home. If you don’t want to connect PARASOLL to an IKEA Home smart system, you can easily just pair it with smart light bulbs.
