How can I return my old discarded electrical product or appliance?
Old, discarded electrical products and appliances, batteries, and lamps can be returned free of charge at an IKEA store. At the customer service desk in the store, you will find a drop-off point where you can do this.
When your new appliance or electrical product is delivered to your home via parcel delivery, you can also choose to send your old similar product back free of charge. Click here to arrange it.
Is your new appliance or electrical product being delivered to your home via truck delivery? Then you can also choose to give your old similar product to the carrier free of charge.
To give the product to the carrier, it must be:
- Clean, dry, and completely empty
- Disconnected and uninstalled
- Ready at the front door to be taken away
Returning or giving away old electrical products and appliances is free of charge and falls under the old-for-new scheme, where you can return your old electrical products and appliances when purchasing a new similar product.
