DO NOT BUYIsaacThis is one of the worst products I’ve had the displeasure of using. Does not turn off (except in the middle of using it), uses up all of its power staying on, and then has the gall to demand 4 AAA batteries. It’s also very inaccurate! Ikea used to make a good scale with a nice physical button, whatever happened to that? Awful, just awful.1
Auto Off is too shortKatherineI bought this for baking, and I think I will return it. The Auto-Off time is too short. I cannot even measure one recipe's flour before it turns itself off — much less weigh out ingredients for a full recipe into a mixing bowl. It does remember the Tare so I don't have to start over, but it's so annoying to be close to having enough, and then it turns itself off just as you're at the point where you need to add slowly.3

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
