Privacy statement - making an appointment
Every day we are committed to improving the daily lives of as many people as possible. We do this with our collections, but also with our services. In some cases we need information to do this. We don't do this lightly.
Privacy at IKEA at a glance
Here's what you need to know about what we do with your data and our privacy principles. After all, it's your privacy we're after, and we don't want there to be any ambiguity about it.
Making an appointment
Want personal help designing your kitchen or advice for decorating your home? Then you can make an appointment online or email directly to an IKEA store. We'll record your name, zip code, phone number and email address so we can contact you about the appointment.
We will also use your information to see if there is anything else we can do to help you, or to send you a message if we have a great offer for you. For this we will always ask your permission first. We also collect your information to gain a better understanding of our customers and their service needs, so that we can serve you even better in the future. We will keep your data for one year.
If you are an IKEA Family member or have an online IKEA profile, your appointment details will be linked to your IKEA Family account or to your online IKEA profile.
As part of our booking tool, we ask you to provide the information necessary to make an appointment. These are your first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number, address, and if available your IKEA Family number. We need your address for the digital invoice (mandatory by law) if you have made an appointment with additional costs. We only process this data in order to be able to reach you if the appointment is canceled or in the event of a no-show, to enable the planning to be realized, or to make any order easy and efficient after the appointment. Your data will be automatically deleted from the system after 60 days.
