Who spends 1000 hours to design a CHF 5.95 pan?

Well, we just did. And the result is the TAGGHAJ frying pan for only CHF 5.95. A light and nimble frying pan with a sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating. The coating is actually quite interesting. First of all, it helps to cook the food evenly without burning it. The other big benefit is slightly more complex. You might have heard of PFAS or PTFE. TAGGHAJ has a non-stick coating where no PTFE or other PFAS have been allowed. Smaklig måltid!

Essentials staples: grill pans and frying pans for every kitchen

Grill pans and frying pans are quintessential tools in any kitchen arsenal. A versatile frying pan is crucial, renowned for its even heat distribution across the base, ensuring optimal cooking results and reducing the risk of burning - especially if it boasts a Teflon® non-stick coating. Grill pans are the go-to for searing meat, fish, and vegetables to perfection. Their rigid base allows fats and juices to drip away, so your food sears rather than stews, imbuing it with those irresistible roasted flavours and a satisfyingly juicy texture. Moreover, cast iron pans are treasures that only improve with age, much like a fine wine. Over time, they acquire a patina that not only enhances the pan's non-stick qualities but also contributes to a unique depth of flavour in your cooking. This seasoned surface, combined with cast iron's legendary durability, is why these pans are often the preferred choice of culinary professionals.

Get sizzling with IKEA sauté pans: perfect for kitchen dynamics

Sauté pans share a kinship with Asian woks in their design and purpose. "Sauté" is the culinary art of tossing food with a flick of the wrist - a technique perfectly executed in a sauté pan. For the best results, high heat and a minimal splash of oil or cooking fat are recommended. This method is all about keeping the ingredients lively and on the move, encouraging them to 'sweat' rather than fry or cook through completely.

Adopting this approach is not only kinder to your ingredients, but it also awakens an exciting spectrum of flavours. The sauté pan is designed to lightly cook your vegetables, fish, and meat while preserving their intrinsic flavours, aromas and textures, revealing a delightful new dimension to your dishes.

Modern twist on ancient tradition: the IKEA wok pan

The modern wok is an essential tool for Asian culinary creations and sophisticated vegetable dishes. Mastering the wok is an art form that hinges on its unique design: a high rim and a fiercely hot, compact base that encourages you to keep tossing and turning the ingredients. This dynamic cooking process yields textures and flavours that are crisp, rich, and distinctively vibrant. Dive into the world of wok cooking - it promises a rewarding culinary adventure.

Taste the impact: IKEA induction pans for superior cooking

Induction pans capitalise on the speed and precision of magnetic vibrations on induction hobs for rapid heating, while the hob stays cool to the touch. This improves kitchen safety, particularly with children around, and also conserves energy, saves time, and cuts down on stress. The good news is, most IKEA pans and woks are induction-ready.
