What is the IKEA return policy for mattresses?
It is important to IKEA that you love your new mattress. If it's too firm or too soft for you, you have 90 days to bring the mattress back and change it for another.
Your mattress may seem a bit too firm at first. Give it – and your body – some time to get used to each other. Don’t forget to make sure your pillow also suits you and your new mattress.
You have 90 days to make up your mind and bring the mattress back to us, as long as it isn’t dirty, marked or damaged. You can simply take your mattress back to an IKEA store with your proof of purchase and we’ll give you a refund card for its value and help you find one that suits you better.
Please note that this doesn’t apply to mattress pads or toppers.
After 90 days, it’s unfortunately no longer possible to return unpacked mattresses.
If there’s a quality issue, you can still bring your mattress back to a store within the guarantee period with your purchase receipt. Our specialists will carry out a quality check. Based on the result, you’ll either need to keep it, have it recycled at your own cost, or you’ll receive a refund card to get a new mattress.
