Can I return a mattress after 90 days if I think there are any quality issues?

The 90-day comfort policy is only for trying your mattress, but quality issues are covered by our mattress guarantee and can be checked through a mattress expertise.

If you notice something that looks like a defect (for example sagging, deformation, broken springs or foam, stitching problems), please proceed as following:
a. Find your purchase date
If you registered your IKEA Family while purchasing, you will be able to find your receipt and use it for guarantee here.
Mattress purchased after January 2022 are guaranteed by IKEA for 10 years.
Mattress purchased before January 2022 are guaranteed by IKEA for 25 years.
Matress toppers and pads only have a 2-year guarantee

If your mattress is still under warranty, then you can bring it back in one of our stores for it to be controlled by one of our co-workers.
If you have no possibility to transport it, please contact us so that we organize an expertise of the mattress at your place if possible.
c. Expertise of the mattress
The IKEA specialist will determine if the problem is due to:
  • a manufacturing or material defect which is covered by the guarantee
  • normal wear, incorrect use or an unsuitable bed base, which are not covered by the guarantee
d. Result of the expertise
If the expertise confirms a quality defect covered by the guarantee, IKEA will apply the guarantee solution in line with our policy.
If the expertise states that it is not a quality defect, you will have to keep the mattress or ask for a recycling at your costs.
