Care

The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly, not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary, and re-staining it on a regular basis.

Clean: Use a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth.

Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking, and moisture from penetrating into the wood, we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.

Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.

Don't call it foldable when disassembly is requiredElviraMy friend purchased this for me during our annual pilgrimage to IKEA and was disappointed to learn I could not simply stow it away when not in use. The matching chairs are foldable, but this table requires disassembly of the tabletop from the frame, as shown in the image of it leaning against a wall -- the triangular portion must be unscrewed from the tabletop underneath.2

Cute but not 'foldable' easilyOdetteThe table is nice but the foldability is oversold. You have to mostly disassemble it except for two leg notches to be able to 'fold it up' and store flat. At that point you just have two separate pieces really, because the notches are wide and the pieces easily come apart. The tension of all the pieces in place when it's built is what keeps the legs in the notches. The chairs in this series are actually foldable. You don't have to disassemble them to store them flat. If you never plan to disassemble it, then it will work perfectly. If, like me, you wanted something to store easily, this is not it unless you're fine with disassembly each time. 2

Perfect small tableSaaraI have two older patio chairs that are lower than modern chairs so I've looked for a ~26" high table for quite a while. It felt nearly impossible until I saw the Tärnö table online. Even better, my chairs are sage green with white webbing which goes perfectly with the green top and white legs. They fit together wonderfully without being matchy matchy! I also like that I'll be able to fold it up and tuck it into my overstuffed shed for winter storage. 5

Great little table!CarolynI already had one of these, but it is so handy to have another one. Super easy to open up and use. The little screw that holds it all together is simple to install and it is ready to go. It folds up in two parts (top and metal legs/base) and takes up very little room. 5
Looks nice but not practicalAnnieI wish to keep it. Unfortunately, it's just not sturdy enough. It wobbles a lot. You can't just fold it easily, either.2
