Great multipurpose tableJennine C.This is an excellent and sturdy table. It is very heavy! I would recommend professional assembly.5
Good table but horrible build experienceJames S.Building the table requires screwing 38 screws by hand into real wood, and many of the screws don't want to go in. You have to put your full body weight and bruise your hand just to get some of the screws to turn. At least the table is real wood.2
It's unstable.Chie M.I loved it for a while, and it became unstable. I keep hitting the joints with a hammer as it loosen up. I wish I have a better solution. Should I use a real screws to make it stable? (And It is very heavy.) Looks cute.2
Love love love!!!!Katelyn P.Love how easy this was to assemble and how easy it is to pull out into the table link and also to gently push the legs back in to free up my space for other use! Color is absolutely perfect love how natural and peaceful it makes my home look.5
Beautiful, Space Saving, Functional!Kyle H.The perfect game table! We combine it with our Lisabo table to make a giant table since they’re exactly the same height. You can push them together to make a mega table.5
Love itLeah S.A friend had this table, and I finally broke down and bought it for myself. It is the perfect space saving table to use in our game room. Folds down so the kids can play in the floor if they want, or expand for puzzles, games, Lego-building, & crafting. Plus the drawers are awesome for little crafty things you don't want sitting out.5
Great sewing tableAleta D.I bought this to use as a sewing table. I have a 1960s singer machine and it is heavy, and it will bounce when I use it on flimsier tables. This table works beautifully with it! I read other reviews that discussed how difficult it was to put together. My husband and I are moderately handy and it took the two of us just about an hour to put this table together. A power drill will be a helpful tool- as long as you have that, and can follow directions, you'll be good to go! My only complaint is the price- my understanding is that this table cost $200 a year or two ago and is now $349. Yes, yes, I know- IKEA will put the blame on inflation, but I do believe the table has gone up too much in price, even accounting for "inflation".5
TableSara S.Love the table it is very sturdy and drawers are roomy. It is easy to assemble, however the screw holes were not drilled deep enough and the screws provided were blunt. I would suggest to have a drill handy5
Very nice table!NANCY G.This table fits well in our small space. It has enough flexibility for many uses. No wobbles. The birch is very solid and finished well. Easy to assemble. Picture instructions.5
For my classroom!Sherri B.Can’t wait to use these!5
Perfect SizeMona A.This table is the perfect size for just the two of us in our small eating area and generous enough to provide seating when needed!5
The screws don't fit on the birch versionGregory E.I am having exactly the same issue that other recent reviewers had: the screws provided to attach the hinges to the tabletop do not fit into the wood and are stripping while wrecking my drill. This is the most frustrating Ikea assembly I have ever tried. I do not recommend this product at all.1
Birch Norden is awfulHernan T.We purchased the Birch Norden despite the reviews that is was difficult to put together. We should have listened to the reviews. We had to return the first Birch Norden because the screws wouldn't fit with a manual screwdriver or drill. We got a second Birch Norden and it's the same issue. This table has destroyed three manual screwdrivers and almost our drill. Do not get the Birch Norden!1
TableGrant B.Great product5
Great table!Meghan C.Really great table! Pleased with the stability of it, and the look is fantastic. I was able to carry it home and put it together all by myself (though it took some work). I will say make sure you have the right screwdriver/drill bit before you get started. I ended up having to go buy one for my drill. Make sure you have a PD bit and the table will come together in about 15 minutes. Without the right bit you will end up crying over this table I promise.5
Great product!!!Kurtis G.This is great for a small space! I needed a sewing table but the room I was setting it up in is already my office so I needed something that wouldn’t always be taking up a lot of space and this is the perfect solution! It’s well made and pretty easy to put together! It is pretty heavy once it is assembled so it’s not something that is going to be moved from room to room, but being able to slide it out to open it is fine!5
Perfect and versatileMargaret B.I purchased this table about three years ago for my kitchen which small and has cramped quarters, this was just before the pandemic shut down and I had to work remotely for the next two years plus. I set up the table before my kitchen window and with both fly leafs extended had more than ample room to set up my home office and the drawers were very handy....recently retired, it's now back to being my kitchen table and with one leaf down, it's the perfect fit. I am considering getting a second to set up a separate work room out of a guest room. It was not difficult to assemble. Be patient, read the instructions first, separate out the screws etc by type according to the diagrams, take your time and it will be assembled in no time. I am glad to see this is still offered by Ikea. It was a big ticket item for me but it was perfect. It's also very sturdy. It's attractive. I have it in white.5
Just not happyOscar V.Just not happy at all, too many missing parts, when assembling, many of the pieces did not fit correctly and ugh, just a headache. This is not the first product that I buy at IKEA but it is definitely the most disappointing and worst product I have ever bought here. Even called customer service to try and fix the issue for the missing and incorrect parts that were in the packaging and I was put on hold for an hour! Ugh!!!1
Great table!DianaThis convertible table works great for our tiny home!5
Best of both worldsAmruta M.Easy to assemble. Great space saver. Has storage and seats up to four. Sturdy and convenient!5

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
