Makes great bunk bedsSarahI bought the kura bed for my 6 year old and 4 year old as bunk beds (older on top). I added an extra set of mattress slats and the additional twin fit perfectly on the bottom. I love that it's very low to the ground for both kids and they love the bed tent too! I added the pouches to the bed which are perfect for tonies, water bottles and my daughter's glasses. This set went together easily, the instructions were very clear and I would have been able to put it together by myself, though I did have help!5
low bunk bed for toddlersCeilidhProduct looks like advertised, good value for a inexpensive bed. We have our four year old on the top and put a bed under( on the floor). It's perfect for youngins4
Twins love it!MEGHANWe have bought 2 of these for our 5 year old twins. They love the raised version with the ocean bed tent. They use under their beds for reading and imaginative play. These beds are sturdy and low enough that we do not worry about them jumping off the ladders.5

Great product!MICHELEPurchased Two beds for my granddaughters. Well constructed and great solution for a shared children’s bedroom.5
Perfect bed for kidsnicholeI bought two of the Kura beds for my kids, ages 7 and 9, and honestly couldn't be happier. They are sturdy, have a nice look that fits in a variety of decor, and it is nice that you have the option to configure the bed in different ways. As far as assembly, it was actually fairly easy. I did it myself, please note the instructions say to have 2 people build, and total build time for both beds was around 5 hours with some breaks in there. We currently have then set us as the loft style bed, but have the mattress underneath for sleeping and a mattress up top with canopy to make a hang out area for reading/ watching TV etc. It is nice that the beds will grow with my children and we won't have to replace them in a few years to something different, just redo the arrangement of mattress etc when they get bored or want a different style.5
Versatile, would recommendKristinDirections easy to follow, recommend building with 2 people to save time, love that the ladder can be moved to either side to meet our needs.5
Perfect!ChiThis bed is fun and my son absolutely loves it! He sleeps on the top bunk and plays in his “fort” on the bottom.5
Great bedCraigMy only complaint would be the ladder and head board don’t work on all four corners5
Mixed feelings about this item…Dannielle S.My son loves this bed and the dinosaur canopy that goes with it! And I love that it can switch from a low profile twin bed to a junior loft bed as he grows. However, it was difficult to put together, we were initially missing some parts that we had to wait a few weeks to get replaced, and now one of the slats broke and we apparently can’t buy a replacement slat for it. I fear it’s no longer safe for my kid to use as a loft bed because of this broken slat and we will need to buy a new bed. He enjoyed it while it lasted but was in tears after it broke.3
My kid loves his new bedJoscelyn L.Sturdy and cute. My only complaint would be how long it takes to assemble, it took us a few hours to put together. Also I wish this bed came in more colors. I love that it's reversible! My son is only 3yrs old right now so the bed is on the ground, but I definitely will be turning it to the loft bed as he grows. Very economical. I have to buy the tent that goes along with it as well because how cute is that?! Excellent purchase, highly recommend!5
Our daughter loves her bed.AmandaOur daughter loves her bed.5
Works for usAlejandraBought this bed for my four yea fold, he loves it. It’s pretty sturdy. My son and I both lay on it at story time and I’m not worried that it can’t handle our combined weight. The steps are sturdy as well. It took about an hour and half to two hours to put everything together. Overall happy twitch the purchase. We also bought the ocean canopy to go along with it.4
Awesome BedAlyssaEasy to assemble, incredible quality, and my son loves it. There is no weight limit listed, but we’ve had movie nights laying in his bed together, so no worries there. Will absolutely buy another one for my youngest when the time is right.5
Great reversible bedUllaLove the options that come with the bed. It is not to heigh either.5
KURA Reversible bed, white/pine, Twin

A cozy nook for play and sleep

How can a children's bed be something more than a safe place to sleep? Can it even inspire play? This was how designers Tina Christensen and Kai Legaard were thinking when they started sketching a new children's bed. It resulted in KURA reversible bed which, for almost 15 years, has been used as a nook ― inspiring play for children around the world. One child is named Vera and lives in Älmhult, Sweden.

The most important things for a children's bed is that it's comfortable and safe. It's a plus if it can change as the child grows. But the goal for KURA was greater than that, explains designer Tina Christensen. "We really wanted it to fall in line with what children want ― that it could be a place to play and be used as the child's own nook."

Tents transform the bed

KURA was given a reversible construction and over the years we've developed various tents that can be fixed to the bed frame and which transform the bed into a house, a tree house or a radiant starry sky. KURA is also a constant source of stimulation for children's imaginations and creativity ― families create their own solutions by using colours and decorations. This is something that Tina likes. "Sometimes I search online for pictures of KURA and find the most fantastic solutions", says Tina. "It's exciting that it continues to develop."

Right height for being tucked into bed

Vera, who lives in Älmhult, Sweden, has a room which is quite small and narrow, so her parents chose KURA to maximize the room's space. At first, Vera slept on the bottom, but when she turned six, the family turned the bed over to transform it into a loft bed with secure edges and a play area underneath. KURA is lower than a common bunk bed. This makes it a little safer for a 6-year-old and all parents can reach up to say good night. When it's time for Vera to be tucked in, her mother or father usually crawl up next to her for story time. "Then we each have a torch that we turn on and read. It's really cozy", Vera says smiling.
