Reviews

getting hinges onAngelaThis table is very frustrating to put together it has those plastic "nails" to put the drawers together. Plus getting the hinges on the top of the table was very difficult I had to drill the hole bigger in order to get it on. 3
PerfectSamuelIt’s perfect. Solid wood medium difficulty to build but I love it and the space and versatility5
Foldable tableMelindaWe bought this to replace a large dining table because we intend to move and sent want a big piece. This has been working nicely. I don't really like the low back of the chairs with the high seats. You kind of have to lean in to be supported in sitting. But otherwise love the drawers and it's perfect for our 3 person fam4
Great table, difficult buildJoshuaI've build well over 50 IKEA items of various types and this was the first time I ever felt so frustrated by a piece I thought to return it. Its a beautiful table, perfect for a small apartment or craft table. Its also rather simple in theory to build which I liked. Where the issue came in was screwing the screws to the table top. Its near impossible, and even with a 20v drill I found myself stripping the screws and finding it near impossible for some of the angles and placements of the screws to get them in secure. The method for building the draws was also rather difficult, and made for a really long process. Even had tightening the screws had me applying every ounce of my body weight at weird angles to get them to go in correctly.3
It covers my expectationsRafael H.Easy to assembly and good apparel in general.5
Awesome Drop Leaf tableNancyI love this table. Not exactly the color I wanted, but product is true to color and it has everything else I wanted in a drop leaf table - just the right size, lots of space in drawers, and makes my small dining area look large. One of my better buys.5
Great table but difficult assemblyMaryThis is a beautiful table and great for a small city apartment, but assembly is HARD. Everything is fine until you get to the hinges. The screws IKEA provided do not go in. After my boyfriend and I both putting our entire body weight into trying to get the IKEA screws in, I had to go to our local Ace hardware where they helped us pick out better ones that were a little shorter, and we had to spend almost $40 extra on this, which was annoying as the table is already not cheap. Overall I love the space-saving design and how sturdy it is, but wish they would provide better quality screws as the ones included stripped almost immediately and would not go in!4
Great multipurpose tableJennine C.This is an excellent and sturdy table. It is very heavy! I would recommend professional assembly.5
Good table but horrible build experienceJamesBuilding the table requires screwing 38 screws by hand into real wood, and many of the screws don't want to go in. You have to put your full body weight and bruise your hand just to get some of the screws to turn. At least the table is real wood.2
It's unstable.ChieI loved it for a while, and it became unstable. I keep hitting the joints with a hammer as it loosen up. I wish I have a better solution. Should I use a real screws to make it stable? (And It is very heavy.) Looks cute.2
Love love love!!!!KatelynLove how easy this was to assemble and how easy it is to pull out into the table link and also to gently push the legs back in to free up my space for other use! Color is absolutely perfect love how natural and peaceful it makes my home look.5
Beautiful, Space Saving, Functional!KyleThe perfect game table! We combine it with our Lisabo table to make a giant table since they’re exactly the same height. You can push them together to make a mega table.5
Love itLeah S.A friend had this table, and I finally broke down and bought it for myself. It is the perfect space saving table to use in our game room. Folds down so the kids can play in the floor if they want, or expand for puzzles, games, Lego-building, & crafting. Plus the drawers are awesome for little crafty things you don't want sitting out.5
Great sewing tableAletaI bought this to use as a sewing table. I have a 1960s singer machine and it is heavy, and it will bounce when I use it on flimsier tables. This table works beautifully with it! I read other reviews that discussed how difficult it was to put together. My husband and I are moderately handy and it took the two of us just about an hour to put this table together. A power drill will be a helpful tool- as long as you have that, and can follow directions, you'll be good to go! My only complaint is the price- my understanding is that this table cost $200 a year or two ago and is now $349. Yes, yes, I know- IKEA will put the blame on inflation, but I do believe the table has gone up too much in price, even accounting for "inflation".5
TableSara S.Love the table it is very sturdy and drawers are roomy. It is easy to assemble, however the screw holes were not drilled deep enough and the screws provided were blunt. I would suggest to have a drill handy5
Very nice table!NancyThis table fits well in our small space. It has enough flexibility for many uses. No wobbles. The birch is very solid and finished well. Easy to assemble. Picture instructions.5
For my classroom!SherriCan’t wait to use these!5
Perfect SizeMonaThis table is the perfect size for just the two of us in our small eating area and generous enough to provide seating when needed!5
The screws don't fit on the birch versionGregoryI am having exactly the same issue that other recent reviewers had: the screws provided to attach the hinges to the tabletop do not fit into the wood and are stripping while wrecking my drill. This is the most frustrating Ikea assembly I have ever tried. I do not recommend this product at all.1
Birch Norden is awfulHernanWe purchased the Birch Norden despite the reviews that is was difficult to put together. We should have listened to the reviews. We had to return the first Birch Norden because the screws wouldn't fit with a manual screwdriver or drill. We got a second Birch Norden and it's the same issue. This table has destroyed three manual screwdrivers and almost our drill. Do not get the Birch Norden!1
