How do I identify fake promotions?

We would like to inform you that fraudulent actions or promotions that use our brand and are not managed by IKEA are regularly circulating on apps, social networks and via email.

These are scams that mostly aim to collect as much personal data, so we urge you not to participate in these actions and of course, do not share them with your contacts. We recommend that you never share personal or confidential information, such as bank details, with anyone. Also avoid opening email attachments from unsecured senders.

IKEA Ibérica recommends that customers who wish to report fraudulent practices do so using the form on the INCIBE website https://www.incibe-cert.es/notificaciones.   (In Spanish)

On the INCIBE website you can find guides to help you make a safe purchase (in Spanish) on the Internet and there is a telephone number where you can consult cybersecurity incidents 017.

What are the clues to identify a fraudulent email, SMS or message?
The message invites you to participate in a sweepstakes or directly announces that you have won, for example a 500 euro voucher.
The message contains spelling mistakes and uses unusual vocabulary.
The website address does not begin with http://www.IKEA.com.
Beware of emails with disturbing subject lines such as "Your account is locked" or "There has been an unauthorized login attempt". Most of the time, they are fake.
